That's the best I've seen the Steelers look all season.

As far as living in the Burgh, it was just voted America's Most Livable City for the 4th time in 7 years. So with all due respect, bite us.

apparently, in the 70s and 80s when your steel mills were taking a ahit a ton of you moved to Charlotte. Now a ton of ppl in Pitt have relatives down here and you are still flocking down here like locusts

every panthers stealers game it's a 50/50 crowd. And other than panthers jerseys, Pitt are the 2nd most prominant.

Went to a bar 2 years ago to watch a panthers game. Too bad there was a stealers game on as well and there were just as many damn stealers fans up in there.

Nah - we like our seasons up here. It's just not winter w/o snow....or in Pitt's case, 30 ft of snow :-)

The other thing might be that the Steelers are a bit of a legacy team. With all those SB wins, they're bound to have a pretty wide following.

I understand Charlotte is a transient city. Baerly anyone in Charlotte is actually from Charlotte. They all ran away. But there is a unusual ammount of people from Pittsburg there.

Pittsburgh, and the wider area of the Rust Belt took a big hit over the last 30 or 40 years.

I live in West Virginia, but only an hour from Pittsburgh. Steel, Chemicals, and Coal were the industries that drove the economies of our region.

As that all started to collapse, we failed to adapt and survive. Our kids now annoy mrford because there was no future for them here at home.

Some of that is beginning to change, but what's left here is a much older population. A population resistant to change. A doomed population. I hope our kids come back when all the old fooks are gone and real change happens.

I'm just thinking that every Pittsburgh jersey you see in Charlotte doesn't necessarily belong to someone who hails from Pittsburgh, even if you do have a high concentration of folks from that corner of the world.

I saw a guy today with a Terrible Towel that said 5 Time Super Bowl Champs.


I went up to him and said "Thank you for recognising that the Steelers didn't actually win the Superbowl against the Seahawks. It was more of a pity result from bad reffing".



Someday, before I die, I want to see Seahawks vs Steelers in the Superbowl again. This time with real refs.
