Ya I heard the mail is really slow, these mailmen/women out there in the south only handing out a few pieces of mail each day and just pretty much drive around all day not doing fluff. I guess people arent mailing much during this covid19..While they were figuring out about another stimulus check, Nancy Pelosi talking about collapse, Trump saying to state governments to pay 25% of stimulus checks Cali goverment saying they cant afford it. Can the country really be running on fumes?...Hawk and Smegma want me to teach them how to lay down pipe lol. Staring makes it akward.

I figure it is. The great recession of 09' was like a 8% retraction of GDP. The actual great depression was around 15%. This is around 33%. Its like more than double the productivity loss of the worst economic drop ever. Setting aside the pre-pandemic economy, which was objectively good and Trump supporters can say hey, this pandemic caused the economic crash and they would be 100% correct. The economy was absolutely booming before this pandemic. And I'm sure people's opinions here range from conspiracies to trump doing a bad job handling it to the whole thing being overblown in an effort to get rid of Trump. But to me, that's totally aside from the point.

States and particularly cities probably have felt the effects of lowered tax revenue far greater than the federal government. Things like sales tax and income tax that sustain local budgets have dropped by nearly a quarter. Asking the states to provide $100 of the $400 weekly may not seem like much. But when you consider 30 million people are currently unemployed, that's asking the states to cover $3 billion a week. And a total of $54 billion by the end of the year. It should come as no shock that the more populated states cannot afford that at all.

On the pipe thing....I say stay happy my friends. There's reason to believe thru multiple supporting trials that the ACE2 receptors in your body which replicate coronavirus are blocked to some degree doing so by certain high CBD marijuana strains. The turpines also have a similar effect. So every time I smoke a doobie, I can take solace in knowing I'm out here flattening the curve.

N ya stimulus bill would cost Cali $700M a week, we should be making cuts in defense if you ask me. 09 recession was bad I remember working like one week out of a month in construction, now construction industry is still going strong...ya I stopped smoking weed for a while :(.

Haha. They act like they donno what fluff costs anymore man. 1200 bucks is ham sandwiches out here these days. I definitely spent 60 a week on weed and 5 months later I guess that's 1200 bucks. I guess we could say the government bought like...some of my weed maybe close to most of it. Either way I was never like...budgeting 1200 ass dollars to live on for any amount of time. Still gotta work in a month on that amount of money. If I didn't smoke it I definitely drank it.

They can buy more of my weed tho. I'm down.

but a costly shutdown that doesnt feature proper quarantine from non shutdown areas might be pointless, and i dont know if america is able to close internal borders, and theres way too many jurisdictions to expect them all to shutdown at the same time for long enough

but theres plenty of things to reduce transmission that wouldnt cost much at all, like mandatory masks

I bought cannibus sativa (CBDS) stock when it was $4.20 because I had to a few years ago. Too funny a price. I lost big but regret nothing because I have a hilarious receipt framed haha.

Yeah. It wasnt a total loss either. When it got cheaper I bumped my investment up a bit. At the end of either 2017 or 2018 the company invested in a controlling stake of KushCo Holdings (KSHB). As a bonus for shareholders, they gave us 1 share of KSHB for every share of CBDS we held. I think I'd payed an average of like 2.60 a share for CBDS when that went down so I now have like 2 shares of 70 cent stocks for every 1 share i paid 2.60 for.

Either way, Gary Johnson serves on the board for CBDS and Mike Gravel is the CEO of KushCo. Live a life of politics passing bad weed legislation and then leave politics and become a drug dealer. Something about that just makes me giggle and I really want to get behind it. I should hope those guys still have big tobacco lobbyists in their office and eventually turn a profit for me haha. Hopefully I can cash out both companies at 4.20 again and double my money one day haha.
