Charlotte to San Ann is like a 20 hour drive, more like 22-25 if you add in all the stops and what not.

You are on the same road for something like 850 miles

Key West, FL --> Minneapolis, MN - 1948 miles - 36 hrs straight through.

Sun City, FL --> Minneapolis, MN - 1603 miles - 27 hrs, 1 rest stop for 45 min, and a Steak n' Shake were my longest stops.

Boulder, CO --> Minneapolis, MN - 944 miles - 17 hours (with my kid in the back seat.)

Minneapolis, MN --> Kansas City, MO --> Minneapolis, MN - 902 miles round trip - 15.5 hrs.

I love driving. We're talking about road tripping it to Yosemite next summer. :-)

Only thing I like about driving during the day is it's easier to see the cops

other than that I prefer night driving

Longest I ever did was 892mi from Wallingford, CT to Parris Island, SC. Mapquest called for like 15hrs but it took me 17.5 stopping for about 30 min in each state for a power nap and to give my fluff box a break.
