http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millionaire

"According to TNS Financial Services, Los Angeles County has the highest number of millionaires,[17] totalling over 262,800 households as of mid-2006.[14] Los Angeles County is also the largest single jurisdiction of any kind in the United States."

ya know, it's a pretty dang worthless internet seach if you put "millionaire" in as one of the search terms.

You Too Could Be A Millionaire That Gets Paid $50 an hour and never has a substantial increase in income because of your debt load.

depends on where you live. Without kids, assuming 30% on housing (rent, utilities interest, upkeep - especially in southern California - in other areas 30% is way too high), $500/month on transportation (interest, lease payments, gas, upkeep), $150 a week on food (assuming eating out once a week), you're looking at at least 25 years before factoring in taxes @ $50/hour

Sure it is. That's over 100k a year. My parents never managed nearly that much income between them -- but their net worth is in excess of a million dollars. That's with 4 kids... and neither has worked full time in the last 5 years.

Even a modicum of financial responsibility will turn anyone working full time at $50/hour into a millionaire over their working lives.

New South Wales government in Australia is bankrupt because it is corrupt. Most of Australia is in great economic condition.

- Signing outragous deals with developers, eg promising that the state will be liable if their redevelopment does not meet their projected profit WTF, how is that sane.

- Preferential contracts to developers that hire relatives which allows them to inflate prices.

- Selling public assets that make huge amounts of money, electricity, casinos, lottery, water (both actual water, rights to water and water facilities).

- Mismanage the Federal governments plan to redevelop school. Eg Schools were allocated money and a time period to use it. The state told developers to put what ever bids they felt like in, and they all got accepted even with 500% markups. Eg to paint one wall of a building, one days work $20k dollars or to build a room previously valued at 80k for 250k. Under the original rules, schools weren't even allowed to know how much it was going to cost till after it was built...

Not posting on AT as much because Maki/Steeps gave back some of my forums on GHQ. RIP my decade long blog, my blog even had replies from people who are no longer with us :(.
