Nah, this is the last season. So I was treated to the attack on the wall and Tyrion killing off the obnoxious Tywin Lannister.

I had to stop putting it on when my poor wife couldn't cope with the Mountain squidging Oberyn Martell's eyes and crushing his scull. The violence really is unremitting.

Excellent realisation of the books I think.

up until that i thought the scene was awesome. but then it kept going on, and you just knew that it was going to turn- there would've been no reason to continue the scene unless buddy lost his advantage.

but yes, tyrion at the end there with the crossbow was so good ;)

Yes the crossbow was good. He had taken care to have that cumbersome loking thing with him to draw the string back and after he fired the first bolt he just went calmly on doing what had to be done to prepare for a second bolt and conducting the conversation with his doomed dad. It was so matter of fact. And the assertion, as he demonstrated implacable will, that yes he was Tywin's son was very cool indeed.

Easy to spoil it with too much drama. As it was, the bit of understatement worked great I thought.

Unfortunately I will miss the rest of the series as we are on holiday for three weeks in Italy and then there is a wedding to go to there.
