Mine was pretty crazy
flew into Charlotte to meet up with some friends and we drove down to Holden beach nc for the weekend. Got down to the beach front house late Friday night
Saturday was a pretty chill day. Went to a secret fishing spot and fished for hours. Caught some drum, flounder, fluffload of pin fish, some stripers, and the ocasional blue crab. Love me some fishing. Saturday night we drove down to Myrtle beach, about 40 min away and went to barefoot landing and bar hopped around there and bought a fluff load of fireworks on the way back to holden.
Sunday was a beach day and the beaches were pretty flippin packed. Once it got dark we started unloading our $600 arsenal of fireworks and took us about 2 hours to launch them all. On a side note, the owner of the house we rented showed up while we were launching the fireworks and brough some of his home made wine and shine and we had a good time chilling with him. He claims to have the gun that shot Lincoln and has doccuments from the FBI and musem systems debating the topic, and crazy or not, he has some pretty solid points, but that's another story on it's own. Once we were done with that we decided to spend that night bar hopping in downtown Wilmington, about 30 min away
we stopped at a gas station before we got on the road to fill up and get some munchies, and inside there was a insanely drunk guy that was being refused the sale of beer. Didn't think much of it and he left and we did shortly later. Rolling up to a stoplight to get back on the main road I see a old blue tarus rearend a huge chevy truck, the tarus backs up, busts a u turn over the concrete median, and starts heading right at me. I pull off the road, he barely misses me, and we get out of the car to see if everyone is alright. I see a statie rolling down the road and I flag him down and explain what I saw. About this time, here comes the tarus with the drunk guy in it, he pulls into an empty parkinglot across the street. I point him out to the statie and we continue on to Wilmington
downtown Wilmington was insane and a load of fun to barhop. Random group renditions od the star spangled banner and USA chants were sprouting up all night
Monday we packed up, spent a few hours on the beach, and headed home. On the road the cops were out in FORCE. Just past Fayetteville, we ran into a perticulaely heavy section of cops, and I see a cop doing 20 in a 70 zone so I slow down and pass him, and he speeds up, so I get over to let him by, he passes then slows down and pulls me. He says that the plate boarder we had on the car was too big and asked to search the car etc so we let him. Found nothing ofc and 20 min later were back on the road
not 5 miles down the road we run into a wreck, and one lane going west was shut down. I didn't think anything of it and setteled into traffic mode. When we were about 10 cars from the wreck they shut down the road completely. and more emergency responders than I've ever seen in my life were running around like crazy ppl. After about 20 min of not moving, the lifestar chopper lands and takes someone off and 5 min later 4 meatwagons tear off back toward Scotland county hospital. When we finally got moving again I see the wreck. A big rig had changed lamed on top of a convoy of bikes. It was a pretty grizzly site and I'm sure more than one person lost their life because it was a 70mph zone
after that, it was a fairly uneventful trip back to Charlotte and flight home
