I've been to Richmond, CA before... stayed there for a *very, and I mean very* short while in 2005 before moving south to Berkeley.

Nice. Richmond you get to learn how to deal drugs and do drive by shootings. Berkley you can use those drugs while occupying a tree for years that has been marked for removal.

Well, living in Berkeley was saner than living in Richmond. The whole business of hearing gunshots, and sirens all the time was nothing compared to being able to see through your front window people out on the sidewalk in front of your apartment doing deals in public. At least in Berkeley, there was reliable employment, plus there's this awesome music store there called Rasputin's that could get *anything* and made trying to rebuild my music library incredibly easy. There's also a Gothic style shop called the Dark Entry where I was able to buy some authentic style reproductions of vintage 1700s era wear for a costume party when I was attending UC Berkeley. So, it wasn't all bad.

Sure along Telegraph and Shattuck avenues, you'd have your homeless panhandlers and riff raff always hitting you up for either food or money, so not trying to be a fluff about it, I knew to avoid those streets unless I absolutely had to be on them for school or personal affairs.

They sell vinyl for a dollar a pound and all music is free and at your fingertips over the internet. Im guessing Rasputins csnt meet either of these.

And authentic vintage reproduction is an oxy moron, like progressive conservatism or a worthwhile marshal post.

I know, "Authentic vintage reproduction" is an oxymoron. I was trying to find the right wording to use before my internet crapped out on me last night. But, what I mean is the attire is reproduced in the same fashion as something from the late 1700s and Victorian eras would have been constructed with using the same materials or an equivalent to them. Very costly, especially to maintain... most items required dry cleaning.
