So I watch a lot of TV when I'm relaxing/playing video games/doing casual work, but I always HAAATE how there's nothing on in the summers!
There's no exciting sports (football or hockey) and most of the good shows are off during the summer, so there's limited new programming on.

So if any of you are like me... what have you been watching lately? I'm interested in getting some more ideas to add to what I've been watching :) Give a little blurb about show as well :p

I've been watching Louie, which is a hilarious show kind of in a similar style as Curb Your Enthusiasm. I just watched a few in a row.
Another show I'm watching is Breaking Bad -- that show is awesome. High school chemistry teacher turned meth cook. This really hits home with me because my girlfriend could do all this if she wanted to! :p

Other things that I've watched which are good and a little more obscure:
Community -> Sitcom about a bunch of students in community college.... all are misfits of varying ages and backgrounds. Similar style as something like Scrubs, although no cutaways or narration. Just a similar humour style.
The Pacific -> Band of Brothers in the pacific theatre. It's really good if you like violence or history. There is a lot of love story crap in a few episodes which is actually pretty well done, so there's something for girlfriends to watch too.
Jericho -> This is one of my favourite TV shows of all time, but it only got 1.5 seasons. The US is crippled by a series of nuclear attacks on the major cities and it shows how a small town deals with it. It's sort of like Lost, but in a contemporary US small town.

True Blood! If ya like vampires, then you'll love this show. It's about vampires "coming out of the casket" in modern day society. They've introduced other "creatures" as well. Shape-shifters...werewolves this season, and the lead female character has some mind-reading abilities. We're finding out she's a bit more than just human this summer. This show is on HBO.

Dexter is another great one. The next season should be coming out this next month on ShowTime. Dexter Morgan, Miami Metro Police Department blood spatter analyst, has a double life. When he's not helping the Homicide division solve murders, he spends his time hunting and killing bad guys who slip through the justice system.

Burn Notice is about this guy, Micheal Weston, who is a black-listed spy. "After coming face to face with the group of people that burned him, he must figure out his next move. All while staying ahead of anyone else that may have him in their crosshairs. In the meantime, he continues to use his unique skills and training to help people in desperate need of assistance." Helping him out is his crazy ex-girlfriend, who was an IRA operative, and his best friend, who is a washed up military intelligence contact. Micheal's mother is also thrown into the mix. They all find themselves in all kinds of weird, screwed up circumstances...good stuff.

Ok, this is kinda nerdy....but my 2 favorite new shows are

- Into the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman

- Toy Stories with James May


Top Gear (BBC, screw the US version!) is always a good fall back too.

White Collar is pretty good too. Check out Royal Pains as well.

csi's (lv, ny, mi), ncis (both), house (reruns), cold case, moonlight, true blood, farscape, bsg, lie to me, miami vice, vampire diaries (just started), cougar town (just started and its best what comes at tv at that time its shown, sadly) and top gear uk (rerun of best of seasons).

as you see tv at here is very much about different cop-shows.

Reruns of simpsons, family guy and futurama.
Reruns of favourite 90's movies on spike/mentv or action.

Anything cool on discovery or history channel.

Wtf am I saying. lol.

I haven't watched any show on tv since they stopped airing supernatural and caprica.

Did you guys get "Homicide - Life on the Streets" Marsha? That was about the only thing on Euro TV I could stand watching so far as recycled US shows were concerned.

Its shown at here but I haven't watched any Homicide-serie a while (it comes at bad time when other shows or movies come).

Just can't pull yourself away from the Euro Song Competition, eh?

I just watched "The Colony" last night - it's fairly obviously staged up, even with the "survivors", but the premise of the whole thing is kinda cool.

colony starts at here soon (after survivors end).

Season 1 is great.....season 2 has been ok so far, but not as good as the first. It's getting a little too Big Brother like.

i think sons of anarchy is starting 1st week of september. cant wait for that fluff.

soa season 1 was quite good.

I dunno what it is, but I can't watch Sons of Anarchy at all - it just makes me want to throw things at my TV.

yeah, and hasn't touched his xbox controller for 5 days, but is leaving it on because the game plays itself. could be. might just be an xbox bug.

meh, you can hire drivers in Forza 2. think the longest they can race for you would be about an hour though. i use them to clear things that i don't want to drive. errr, can't drive.

Pang if your looking for some old school comedy, go and download a series out of the UK called Fawlty Towers. should only be about 12-15 episodes but its completly hilarious british slapstick humor.

The other recomendation is if you are drunk/high or something like that i would seriously look at a series called The Mighty Boosh.

Monty Python is also worth to watch.
