I've got Netherlands over Spain in the final.. and Argentina over France for third.. But I don't follow football too much and a lot of my bracket picks were guesses/hunches:p

Looking at the bracket set ups, I'm going with Brazil over either Spain or Argentina, or Argentina over Italy.

Argentina over Germany in the finals is almost impossible, as Argentina and Germany are likely going to be tops in their brackets, will beat the 2nd place teams from groups A + C in round 2, and will end up playing each other in the quarter finals.

Netherlands and Spain could happen, but I really can't see the Dutchies getting past Brazil in the quarter finals.


There's some great competition this year - the WC is gonna be exciting! Nice to see the US making a showing too...at least for now.

Wow....guess I have to eat my words. With Spain's loss, it could well come down to Spain/Germany in the finals now unless they pull out another win quickly.

I've been impressed with how competitive the concacaf and Asian teams are (minus NK and Honduras), but feel the African teams have been a real let down. The south american teams are seriously strong this time, i mean Uruguay scraped in to the WC and dominated their group... European teams a real mixed bag.

My bracket entitled "YEAH TOAST!!!!" is currently ranked 134 on ESPN. I am so hardcore at soccer.

Germany will play England in the next round, while the US could potentially have the easiest road to the semifinals.

ohh I just looked at the second round matchups, and if it holds Brazil vs. Spain is gonna be one heck of a second round match.

Ghana is a good team - don't underestimate them. Their berth to the finals is partially luck, but there is a good team there.

I don't care about who's in the finals - I just want to see Brazil/Argentina play. One of those two will take it all, I think.

Spain are the choke artists of the WC - Brazil 3 - Spain 1.

Our game with Ghana made me realize why I normally hate soccer. Even at the highest level it is a very amateurish sport compared to the sports popular in America. Apparently it's not a penalty to fake an injury to the point that you get carried off in a stretcher and then immediately get up and walk down the sideline.

i am sure, you would think different, if the usa had won.

No I wouldn't. I hate plenty of American players that do stuff like that.
