omg, I just got a post on FB and am in shock. Slug and I talk often and I wondered why I havent heard from him since I came back from Mexico.

This is Tyler & Blaine Kaempfer, Adam's Sons, thank you all so much for all your prayers and well wishes with his ongoing battle. He passed away today at St. Francis Hospital in the MICU around 1 pm today. Tomorrow we will have more details on his visitation and service.

There were other messages from family, so I dont think this is some kind of joke.

I will try to get details on what happened, but I know many of you have known him as long as I have and would want to know.

I talked to his son. He said Adam hadnt been feeling good due to liver issues.

I don't remember much from him, even though I saw him on AT back in the day. I can only offer my condolences to his family.

poor sluggy...i took him to a huricanes game damn near 12 years ago...semi stayed in touch... met him durring the HAN war while he was stationed in NC with Gator and Beldin.. he was one of the original group of us that reformed Ragnarok after leaving the SoC/TGA merger...ran multies with him...suicided on laf with him...overall caused grief all around with him...even got him a color for a stint in RD.....so much fun had back in the day

This is shockingly sad news. Although I hadn't interacted with him for many years I will remember him as a good guy, for sure.

damm! we were just talking about him the other night.
\ we used to talk cars a lot. i even sent him some porsche parts once. I remember when he got the GTO and trying to bait him into racing my lil old honda for some big bucks. He was too smart for that. Sadly missed, rip old friend.

We weren't that close. but we talked a good bit. He had a 944 and I just got rid of one. I advised him with it. I poked fun of his new "GTO"., I kept calling it a aussie holden machine. But I poked fun in a loving way, and he knew that. Never actually met him face to face, ( another regret). Back then, when the internet wasn't quite so dangerous, we didn't really hesitate to use our real names, give an address, or other info. It just wasn't an issue. Don't know how I got so sidetracked, I suspect Gentleman Jack had something to do with it.
OH YEAH< I REMEMBER KNOW , My neighbor just bought a used GTO.
SO I got a 944 on one side and a gto on the other.
Reminded constantly.

Over a year later I want to top this. Slug and I never got a long in game, we had polar opposite political views, but as one example of who he was, he donated to my relay for life campaign one year despite our differences. He was a good person and the world is worse off without him.
