The unfortunate thing regarding Iran is that the US has said over and over again that they want to "support pro-democracy uprisings" but the green revolution in Iran was put down without so much as a peep from the US. That revolution, as with many thruout history, was led by students. And unfortunately it was also the first of the modern information age -- where the students who organized it using twitter/facebook were attacked using the personal information stored in their accounts.
