Hi all;
We've decided that we should press forward with the 2B bug removal (AND adding of corruption) on all servers given the PM-sell price modification is happening this set as well.
This will be a TEST RESET for Alliance - if it unbalances alliance strats we may revert on Alliance; the others will stay with no-2B-limit in that case.
Just to reiterate what the no-2B limit w/ corruption removal entails:
- There will be no limit on the amount of money you can have (well, a limit of $9*10^18)
- If you have more than 2B on hand when you play a turn, any money over that 2B threshold will be subject to 0.1% "corruption" -- the same rate as food decay; this means if you have $3.5B on hand, you will be lose $1.5M per turn in corruption; $4B you will lose $2M corruption - a good rule-of-thumb is $1M corruption per B over 2B;
- This means you can sell >>$2B and then spend to below $2B before taking a turn, and lose no money.
Also to summarize the other previously-announced changes that will be happening:
- Military tech will now increase the PM-sell price rather than lower it; it will still lower PM-purchase prices; MB's will still lower PM-sell prices, as will Theo's bonus. The biggest change this will have is on is bushels. Below are listed the base PM-sell, the new Normal govt w/ MAX military tech; and DEMO w/ MAX military tech:
