what is the best strategy for the first 100 turns? indy? farmer?

Not sure if you are in any alliance, but there are a ton of First 100 strategies. I personally like the Farms and CS....by turn 100 you should have close to 80 CS and ~120 Farms. After that, it all depends on your strategy

really 80 cs that seems excessive to me i think 60 is more reasonable

Excessive? Not at all, you should be aiming for a bpt of at least 60 and the faster you get that out of the way at the beginning the better.
