Can anyone explain please why I got 600 acres from a guy who had 52,000 acres

I would generally explain this to just about anyone given that the question was asked in good faith. It's abundantly clear that it is not, both from your history in the past and your history in express.

My networth was about 9 mil and his networth was about 7 mil at the time - I believe it was above the 60% of networth range for the 7% land grab based on formula I found on the internet.

Yes I had military strategy but that should increase my gains???????? Yes I oversent quite a lot as I had no spies it was blind attack - is there an actual formula or guidance on land grabbing because I did not expect only 600 acres from someone my own size with over 10x my land (52k land). And the enemy had ZERO DR/diminishing returns.

Your gains are limited to 10% of your built acres specifically to prevent people from ruining other people's sets so easily.

Thanks - I didn't know this mechanic - it would be good if the mechanics were put on display somewhere for people to consume - especially for such an old game where that information is harder to find now

And especially when the devs have shown recent interest in changing mechanics and formulas. Perhaps a changelog page/thread (comprehensive patch notes) which I could not find anywhere

How would I have ruined someone elses set - by taking their land - that's the point of the game? I was not land fat and very tight, he was the most land fat on the server. It's pretty bullfluff I could only land grab him for 600 acres which is 1% of his total land.

I would love to ask you would it then be fair that if he attacked me he would only get 1% of my acres which was 4000 * .01 = 40 acres?

Check the announcements forum for the change logs, there are only 22 or so.
