hm.. commies have to pay 10% commission on market sales, and the +35% industry bonus doesn't help a commie. what was your thinking in choosing commie techer

They get the + to Tech effectiveness. That wording confused the fluff out of people who don't know the game mechanics.

Since #286 is still under 1.4k acres, I would say he's definitely one of the people who doesn't know the game mechanics. He apparently never learned the importance of gaining land.

I know a little of the game mechanics, still learning, but I know about the commie tech effectiveness which is why i chose to be a commie techer...the land grabbing, on the other hand, I've completely ignored to this point...wanted to try to do things a different way before I started land grabbing

Commie's tech effectiveness simply means the game treats you as having 1200 tech when you only have 1000 tech points.

However, this advantage is really negated because of 10% commission, so the only real advantage a Commie has is the 35% indy production.
