I'm playing a Commie-Casher strat. Of course the game is always telling me to increase the buildings per turn. Back when I used to play Earth:2025, the advice was to stop around 30. Is this still the case, or should I keep going?

Lots.. 100 or so if you want to get a lot of land, which you do.

Commie doesn't make for a very good casher.

If you play casher, you should be Republic, Democracy, Dictator, or Theocracy.

If you play Commie, you should be indy or indy/farmer.

If you're fairly new to EE, then you should probably get about 50 to 70 bpt. Once you're capable of growing beyond 20k acres, then you can aim for 80+

I am newer to the game. Playing commie-indy, 2300 in land and am at 30 bpt. My thought is you want to increase when you feel comfortable with your production/ market sales/ land grabbing to increase beyond 30

For a new player, keep it simple.

Basically build 15 bpt the first day, 5 or 10 bpt a day for the next few days, and before your explore rate is about to drop down to 39 (about 1924? acres), batch explore and then get your bpt rate to 50 at least before building acres. After that just get it up to where you think it should be ASAP by using this formula:

square root of ('land goal' / 4 * gvt bonus)

Well, maybe you call me Commie/Indy - I just build lots of indy zones and sell goods at the end of the night. The next night I usually have lots of cash.

I hate such big negatives showing every turn though. I'm losing over $250K and 5,000 bushels every turn.

And I'm only ranked around 100. How can I get higher?

Yeah, that's not called a casher on here, that's considered an industrialist, and cashers are the ones making the money from their taxes.

You should be losing money/food every turn so don't let that worry you, just invest harder in your strengths: commie has the big industry bonus so stay heavy on industries, and buy industrial tech, bleed red every turn but make the losses back selling goods and buying food from the market like you're doing.

Getting higher is just a matter of running the strat efficienctly. Commies usually have to get out the gate fast, which they're good at, and need to grab a lot of land. Just keep grabbing land and growing without making yourself a good target.

Me personally I'd prob have around 50 BPT if you're going to do an all explore and not convert at the end to something else.

And you have the right idea... You should esscensally have two building types as a commie indy: 1. Industrial and 2. construction sites.

If your schedule permits it, sometimes as an indy, it helps to play your turns ever 12 hours. That will give you two sells per day and help you run your turns. Just something to think about.
