Tech prices are low, food prices are high. You're not making that much money per day now. Your stockpile is barely increasing in size. The food peak is coming soon. Don't sit around selling tech at $1200 per point while the value of your food stockpile drops by 20%. Its better to sell 250m bushels at $50 than to sell 300m bushels at $40.
Your food stockpile is growing very slowly in size now with food prices this high and tech prices this low, and if you don't destock at the peak, the value of your stockpile could actually start shrinking faster than you can add to it.
Therefore, it is time for you to start figuring out when you want to switch to TMBR and how long it will take to switch and how long it will take to destock. Remember, there are only 48 turns of regen a day in primary, unlike the 72 turns worth of regen a day you get on other servers like FFA and Alliance, or 96 turns a day of regen on team. If you want to do your destock properly, you should start destocking in the next week. A 20k acre TMBR can only jump 6.24m networth per day off its private market (but on the bright side, it only needs about 1b cash to make that 6.24m networth jump). If you're gonna jump 60m networth, you need to start jumping in the next week in order to finish jumping by the time the set is over.
Given how low tech prices are right now, you will probably make more money reselling military in the last 72 hours than you will by stocking for an extra 72 hours as a techer. You also run a greater risk of destocking after the food peak if you try to squeeze out an extra 72 hours of stockpiling as a techer.
Sincerely,
A concerned casher
