It must have something to do with the fact that I put the hurt on some guy who was farming my DA, costing me millions in military everyday. I was acting purely in my own self-interest, and do not see how this is in anyway against the rules. It would be great to hear how this violates any rule?

Players should strive to play according to the spirit of the rules, especially on servers without clans. These servers are designed for individual play. To make the game fair for all players and accessible to new players, players in the primary, express, and tourney server should not engage in any outside of game organizing which gives them an advantage over what can be accomplished through normal, ingame diplomacy.

if attacking someone who is hitting your da (in order to not continue to lose a fluff ton of military with every attack) is illegal, then i seriously am done with this game...

its a bit of a grey area but I did get an explanation. Kammer and his DAs colluded to take down #11 because #11 wouldn't stop hitting Kammer (bouncing most of his LGs) and costing his DAs millions in military. Guy had no tanks or SDI (pretty dumb for a guy who wants to be a bully -_-) so we whacked him.

The mods sent me an email saying it was against the spirit of Primary server to collude against another player. The three of us are clanmates in Team server so I guess the mods felt that this spilled into "clan play".

It is true that we are all DAs INSIDE PRIMARY and are thus incentivized to act for a common goal, it appears the transgression was using outside resources to plan the hit.

The mods explained this and gave all of us the opportunity to get our countries back if we promise not to do this again. That seems fair enough to me, but still a VERY grey area.

Thomas, if you report them there is a chance they will get deleted, or at least warned about this behavior.

whats the point of having allies if defending them is against the rules? anything discussed outside of ingame messaging can be done ingame...its rly not that difficult, i could see if like a whole clan came to primary and they ran AS a clan, but defending your allies ingame is not cheating in any way...every single person that plays has the same opportunity to do this, even if there new the whole messaging a da, oa etc...and working it out in that aspect is still very conceivable even to the newest of players...

Yes, that's illegal on individual servers and I'm happy to see the rule being enforced. The most you should be allowed to do outside of the in-game message system is tell your buddies which country you're playing and frankly, I don't think that should even be allowed.

This is where it all started! He would not except my retals for his hits! After my 2 retals he then tried to destroy all my missles and did many harmful spy ops. I in turn returned the favor by destroying all of his missles. After his last succesful ps on the 19th I asked him to stop cuz he had the upperhand on our land trading besides both my DA and his DA was tired of losing military!! His answer were more spy ops and a failed PS.Ok that was the straw that broke the cammels back!!!

I had 3 allies 2 of which are on the same team on the team server, the other I dont know if he plays any other server or his name! Up untill #11 my allies never interacted in my affairs nor did I in theirs! I asked all of them what could I do to make him stop! He was higher rank than me so it was either make it so he had to stop or pray he gets tired of lging! From his messages it seemed this would go on till sets end thus losing my allies in the process. So I then ask my friend to help me out!

I got deleted! I appealed! I got country back! But with the promise of ceasing clan like activities. Like kwmi wrote this is a grey area cuz 3 complete strangers can share spy ops and run KR without the benefit of a clan site! The whole set we functioned as individual countries the incident with #11 brought us together cuz we were all effected not just me!!!So I feel we shouldnt of been deleted in the first place!!!

if i don't hit deli because i like him and i know his country name, we're good, no deletions. if for the primary server, i send him a forums message saying, "hey, friend, this is my country #, we won't hit, maybe even ally?" i am breaking the rules?

i do play with deli onboth team and alliance.
what if the conversation takes place on boxcar?
can i set up allies/dnhs with people for express?
can one reset i make friends, and have us not hitting each other for any future resets? sorry drinks, i'll be ps'ing you again ;)

Yeah, I could use some enlightenment on this as well, I regulary defend my allies. If they get into a fight with some jerk, I will happily level the guy for them, or otherwise weaken them to allow my ally to recover and avenge himself.

I think this defending of allies could have been accomplished through normal, ingame diplomacy. There is no advantage at all and therefore nothing was done wrong in the first place. If they weren't allied at all and this occurred then maybe, but at least the right thing was done in reinstatement.

Its a futile attempt to control the game.

Has there been any definitive definition of this situation yet? I'd really like to know if I'm likely to be deleted for defending an in game ally.
