Heh, this was a rough 2nd place because I went like 3 weeks thinking as long as I played it safe, I had it. Kind of reminds me of my first set back. I'm pretty glad I scooped that random win a few months ago :)

Nice so now I don't only have an "old country from a forgotten era" with a decent finish, as someone accused me of last set.

Not that it matters but we are on the same changeset and with roughly the same amount of players so NWs should not be lower now than then for any such "era"-related reason. If anything, premiums should make NWs slightly higher now than then.

Last time it was a perfect casher set with buying jets and turrets at 90-110 for a week while jumping and with tech prices low all set. This set I had better bonuses and 1700 acres more, and probably played a better endgame, but the market really was horrible for cashers til about a week out.

Very well played by Molotov, that finish was at least 5m higher than I had expected!

I missed the bonus by 11.5 min lol.

The dumb thing I did was that during the military price low point of ~$125, I scrounged up $1.3b and then mistakenly spent it all on $123 private market troops due to having multiple tabs open and thinking I was on another server. Had to sell jets/turrets off at $125 all over again to get any cash to play on. Lost 1.5m net with the click of a button.

Gerdler am I right that you ate up all those discount jets from Assassin?

Jets, no, I don't think so? But I did buy a whole chunk of turrets from him one time. I needed to spend quite badly and there was like 15m cheapish turrets that came on. And I saw him losing NW after it lol.

This was my "old country from a forgotten era". That was an amazing casher reset, unlike this one in every way. But now we have premium and I had 3.5% more acres this time around so almost as much NW now anyway.

Edit: Err, looking at serverstats history it seems it was only marginally lower tech prices and military prices on average, but significantly lower food prices. Still better but perhaps not as much better as I remembered
