THIS IS ONLY MY THIRD RESET ON THE PRIMARY SERVER, AND UNTIL THIS ONE I'VE NEVER PAID MUCH ATTENTION TO WHAT THE PUBLIC MARKET DOES ON THE LAST DAY...

I'M WATCHING IT THIS TIME, AND SOMETHING STRIKES ME AS ODD. TODAY, IN FACT JUST IN THE LAST 6 HOURS, ALMOST 120,000 POINTS OF BUSINESS TECH HAVE SOLD.

I DON'T KNOW WHY SO MUCH BUSINESS TECH WOULD SELL WITH ONLY 7 HOURS TO PAY ITSELF OFF. ALSO, THE ONE CATEGORY I WOULD EXPECT TO MOVE MORE THAN ANY OTHER (MILITARY) HAS SOLD ONLY ABOUT 90K IN THE LAST 6 HOURS.

UNLESS I'M WRONG ABOUT HOW MUCH NET WORTH EACH TECH POINT OR MILITARY UNIT IS WORTH, TURRET AND JET PRICES WOULD HAVE TO REACH OVER $208 EACH BEFORE THIS TECH WOULD BE OF GREATER VALUE (ALL THE BUSINESS TECH SOLD AT $694 OR HIGHER PER POINT)

IS THERE SOMETHING I'M NOT SEEING HERE THAT WOULD EXPLAIN THE LAST MINUTE SALES?

Tech doesn't increase expenses yet increases productivity.
Perhaps someone had lots of stored turns and calculated that buying tech was more worthwhile /shrug

Depends what it sold at, market bottoms out at 500 a piece at $2 NW per piece so pending what they paid if market was higher then 550 a tank and techs at 510 it's a better deal....

NOT EXACTLY.

I DID FIND IT ODD THAT FOR THAT 6 HOUR PERIOD, MILITARY TECH HAD SOLD LESS THAN BUSINESS TECH, BUT THAT WAS NOT WHAT I FOUND MOST STRANGE.

WHAT I FOUND MOST STRANGE WAS THAT BUSINESS TECH WAS SELLING IN FAIRLY LARGE QUANTITIES (ESPECIALLY COMPARED WITH RESIDENTIAL TECH.. WHICH HAD MOVED ONLY 7K POINTS) AT A PRICE OF $694 OR HIGHER IN THE LAST 7 HOURS OF THE RESET. AT 2 NET WORTH PER TECH POINT, THAT IS A PRICE OF $347 PER POINT OF NET WORTH.

THE HIGHEST I SAW JETS AND TURRETS GET TO DURING THAT TIME WAS $174. WHICH AT 0.6 NET WORTH PER UNIT, EQUALS $290 PER POINT OF NET WORTH. TURRETS AND JETS WERE AT LEAST A 15% BETTER BARGAIN, FROM A STRICTLY NET WORTH PER DOLLAR STANDPOINT.

I HAD NOT CONSIDERED THE POSSIBILITY WHICH EMANNY PUT FORWARD THOUGH... THAT PERHAPS SOMEONE HAD A BOATLOAD OF TURNS TO USE ON THAT LAST DAY AND WAS ABLE TO GAIN ENOUGH BENEFIT FROM THOSE TECH POINTS TO COUNTERACT THE LOWER NET WORTH GAINED BY BUYING THE MORE EXPENSIVE FORM OF NET WORTH.

with less than 400 turns in the set, its not worth it to buy any more tech(if you're near to max, for e.g 175% to 178% bus/res) is no longer with it.

you can always calculate using this formula

if $ spent on buying tech < production increasesd(with newly bought tech) * no. of turns left in the set + no. tech points * 2nw

then its worth it to buy
