Damn. I guess not making any LGs has put me behind. But since I was ass raped by 4 idiots last set for retalling after they farmed me, I took a more conservative approach.
175m bushels and already all my military tech. Planning 80m nw finish. Been stockpilling since end of week 2.
sdi is at 75%, weap at 132%, res and bus at 165%, etc. Ive been ready for suiciders all set, 2m + tanks :P, so i can stock in peace for another week then straight to rank 1 til the end :P.
if u asked me, id say about 5 people have above 150m bushels, judging by who is close to me since the start. top 10 cutoffs should start at 55m nw this round or higher.
apparantly having to switch from techer-> casher at 15k acres and then losing about 9k land in nukes not to mention a dozen CMs (and some EMs too altho what do those really do) has set me back quite a bit heh...
The top commies I'm assuming have little to no stock but they should still compete to win, I know of 3 decent cashers (yes Mortcus is one), not sure who kwmi is b/c he isn't one of them, perhaps way under the radar (but if you are under 20k land kwmi I doubt you have enough production to keep up).
edit: one of the cashers is a farmer. So 2 cahsers 1 farmer...
any demo who reselled this round could finish above 200m nw. Turrets and jet prices have been going from 110 to 160 like every day for 3 weeks. Bushels are easy to resell too if youre demo farmer. Say you sell your bushels at 49, you buyout everything under 47 and you'll always make profit.
I intend to make so much money when i dump all my tech at the market at 1110$ each :P.
I know land of hope is doing well too. Theres certainly going to be a techer in the top 5, get over it. Tech has been over 2500$ all set. I dont see a techer that is really fat like jj23 last set though, so maybe no high 80m nw finish for techers.
you do realize that if I had stayed techer tech prices would be dramatically different than they are now (and they were <2k and had been for a while when I switched so your wrong about 2.5k...). One player sadly has a huge impact on the market when game is so small... Also it seems to me lots of countries started late and another large techer got AB'd to detah right after I switched so staying techer would have been better in retrospect.
Also mortcus you would have been better off exploring than cashing once you started stocking...ez math to check (basically is 6*# turns left> .2*current land, if yes then exploring>cashing), its probably still even true tbh...
Last reset I jumped around this period of time as the jets and turrets were below $110. Just did about 69m NW, to me it didn't work out well as I could have kept teching until a week before the reset end.
Yah, because generating ghost acres is so horrible... I don't complain when I get retalled, and generally we both gain land in the exchange. (No I didn't get hit for 6k acres recently :P)
Much better to attack small people for small gains, because that's exciting...
Just because someone CAN retal you doesn't mean they WILL retal you. It's a gamble you take hitting people your own size, but I'm sitting on 30k+ acres so I wouldn't say I'm giving land away.
Perhaps you should consider that there's more than one way to play this game.
Nice cheap shot at PDM there, you're real clever...
