what's this tax rebate about? My country took back a tax rebate after i increased the taxes in an attempt to get rid of some excess population. Someone please provide me with a rundown on what this tax rebate is for and its effect on your game play.

no one can advise about tax rebate. I hope i'm not the only one who has ever had tax rebate removed after changing tax rate and losing some population

Sometimes you get a random bonus to income or Indy production or food etc... And sometimes you get a random penalty. Totally random, nothing you can do for it besides using your bonus points on luck, but your probably better off using them on something else.

The one random event that sucks the most is earthquake

I think it has been mentioned that luck does not affect random events, just missile production and the random factor of attacking/defending etc.

luck does not prevent random events. it is absolutley not useless.

right from wiki:

Luck is the subtlest of a country's attributes. Luck will lead to better explore returns, greater missile production, and lower market times. In addition: lucky countries have a greater chance of performing successful spy operations, and a greater chance of successfully attacking when odds are unevenly matched.

from a netting point of view luck isnt ideal. for a war country, absolutley worth it.

pretty sure luck also shifts the curve on exploring as well.


i always use luck until its time to go to war.
