Dying because of the captcha sucks, and it's happened to me every time I've died for a year. Do we really need the captcha at all? Could we turn it off if you're being killed?

captcha shouldn't come if you are under attacks and yes it is necessary and you can do it in advance.

i captcha every 4 days while at war. if you're walling on a new device, then that's too bad. cuz it would captcha you. however if someone were to bot, they just need to run hits on the countries before getting it to login, and that would be lame and make captcha too easy to bypass.

btw suggestions in B&S if you intend to

They precisely WANT you to captcha during a kill run when you are under attack, because previously, people were using scripts to auto-login and bot/wall without the captcha (according to qzjul).
