lets say your TPT is 1,000pts / turn.. and you tech 10 turns at one go... so 10,000 points.. at turn 5, theres an earthquake.. you lose some labs and your tpt drops to 950, would you use 6 turns instead of 5 for the remaining 5,000 pts because 5000/950 = 5.26 turns?

no, its like batch exploring. It would drop at the end of the batch not during the middle.

I assume the same goes for the 3 turns used to recall market goods.

Assuming you have 100m food on the market. Recalling them for 3 turns doesn't penalise you on decay. Decay only starts after the 4th turn spend right?

that is a difference from teching and other strategies. All other strategies will see a drop in per turn production from an earthquake in the middle of the batch

Ya Andrew, but that difference is because in other strategies, you don't specify how much cash to cash for, or how much food to farm for. If tech was changed so you specified how many turns you want to spend teching, instead of how many tech points you wanted, it would work that way.

If you cash 10 turns and earthquake happens at turn 5, and some ent/res were destroyed, do you cash lesser for the remaining 5 turns? Yes?

Agreed, I think there have been some previous suggestions to change research based on turns. Not that the earthquakes issue is a huge factor though.
