Thanks for the responses. This last set in primary I was retaled with about 8 missiles for a single 100+ acre grab. As I understand it that couldn't have happened if I were in GDI. I guess it doesn't much matter now since I continued to grow and they (multi) they faded. And yes I did hit them back a few times since but I chose my moments instead of going apes**t on them.
I live in Canada. I don't own a gun but I've got nothing against hunters or people who own one. I keep a baseball bat by my door that will deter any potential intruders. Unless you're expecting an attack by the Taliban you don't really need an assault rifle. I could always trade my bat for a 12 gauge shotgun and would be within my rights to blow someone away who was threatening bodily harm. Again. Don't need an assault rifle.
I used to play this game yrs ago but I've never joined GDI. This new game seems to have some different rules on it. In Primary all the top ten are GDI. Did they begin the game that way or is that something they would do towards end of set?
Would I be wise to join right away next set as a Republic Techer? (I don't usually get grabbed much)
How about if you make a measly 120 acre grab and the guy retals with two countries and launches 7 missiles and failed military attacks against you.? I got the last laugh though as 3 weeks later their NW is around the same and I'm about 4 times their net. And yeah I didn't farm em' but I have grabbed him a couple times here and there. :)
Oh great Xinhuan. I began this set a few weeks ago having just discovered EE. after many years. I forgot to change my government type from Monarchy when I began. With two weeks left in the set can I change government type without penalty? Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere.
Thanks for the info on GDI. I used to play this back in the day but I've never joined it.
With my strat I never look the juicy target and I've never been convinced of it's use-fullness vs. cost. Maybe with this newer 'Earth' I'll have to revisit that option.
Many good ideas. Someone mentioned a generic ally approach. I believe this could work. Anyone looking to ally would be matched with another close to NW looking for same. After a day or two if you're not satisfied with ally you could break alliance and try again. Any coordinated attacks would have to be done in-game with unfamiliar alliances.
LG me once I'll let it slide. Grab me twice and your # gets put on the list (it's generally a small list, 1 or 2). Then on the last day of the set I'll use 100 turns or so with my 25 missiles and major spy-ops. Will you be next? Heh! Heh!
How do you know if they're allies or multis. Earlier this set I grabbed a guy for a measly 120 acres or so. In no time flat, the country # right ahead of him launched 3 missiles at me. WT#? I got the last laugh though as I'm now about 4 times their size.
Just wanted to say I used to play 2025 back in the day. I was quite sad when after a few months rest I went to play again and it was gone. Thank all of you involved for keeping the legacy alive with Earth Empires!
One difference I've noticed from the old 2025 game is the scarcity of oil in EE. It used to be cheap and plentiful and I was caught totally off guard when I tried to LG. 0 Jets for sale and 0 oil. I will be better prepared next reset.
I didn't realize this was such an issue. Personally I've never rec'd one of these. I only started EE a few weeks ago but I used to play 2025 several yrs. ago. Certainly nobody should be threatening/bullying anyone. It's okay(I think) to say you'll bomb their country(game) back to the stone-age but that's as far as it goes.
