Geez, Your father is out of his mind if he's going to let you talk him into buying a new car like that, or better yet, just a new car at all.

If you're 17 and have just gotten your license, the best car you should be hoping for is a 500 dollar runner from the junk yard.

Get real, unless you're someone who is extremely wealthy, you should just make it on what the average kid makes it on. Some old beater until you can get motivated and ambitious enough to afford to buy something decent.

This ticks me off too. Nowhere in the Constitution does it specify that we are obligated to spread democracy, it only says that we are to have it for ourselves, and protect it for ourselves.

If other countries want it, let them get it the same way we did, buy fighting for it.

I'll look out for you, buddy. :) It could be a lot of fun. I tried out a few this reset, got started way late, just to see if I can really manage more than one at a time. It was easy the way they've got it set up. But for some reason, some clan named SALT decided to attack me, so I gotta spend whatever time is left in this reset to punish them for their stupidity.

Actually, Rainbows are pretty good fighting machines, when built correctly. No one attack type can cripple them enough to stop them from running turns, like a specialized country that specializes in tech, for example. You can kill them just by waiting them out. THey'll run out of cash/military soon enough. Indies, the same thing, cashers, when they start running out of people, run out of money too.

Farmers are harder to kill since every turn is productive and you can always sell food on your private market for a decent price, enough to keep going, anyway.

Rainbows can do it all, but they gotta be built tough. No weaknesses visible to be able to be successful.

No, SS, he would send a polite message, that they were welcome to attempt to retal the hit, as much as they were welcome to landgrab from him if they were able to. He was a civilized player and that made him one of the best in the game.

Rockman, that might be so, but that war declaration worked both ways, your victim could also wage war right back against you.

When I first started, I had a guy do that to me, he just failed to realize that I was the kind of player who would find a way to strike back. I got a spy report on him, noticed that he didn't believe in tanks, so I Ab'ed him into a smoking crater. He learned not to farm me, I'm not sure he learned not to farm anyone, but perhaps he made strides on that path.

PS, if you really need to take land in those quantities, you can get it by landgrabbing someone in your scores list. That yields the best results for land in the game. You just gotta take your chances that they might be able to retal that hit. So, don't be so cowardly if you want to get a lot of land, look in your scores list for a suitable target.

I've had other players make comments like this, and had to eat their words later, Gramberto brings back a particularly rewarding attempt to disparage my country. He posted on alliance talk about my fearsome 5000 rank dictatorship, and a post soon followed by ACCI mentioning that my "5000 rank" dictatorship just landgrabbed his top 100 country. Shut Gramberto up pretty quickly.

So, you really should try to learn something about who you're talking about when you run your mouth uncontrollably.

Either that, or provide some back up proof. I'm willing to prove what I say. :)

Everyone that cries using the above justification, needs to look at the ranking system that the game uses. It has and will always rank players based on networth. Sure you can war and have networth, but you'll never actually finish in 1st.

The front page doesn't even have the tank anymore... you people are ridiculous.

This is not true. You can wargain in any server in this game. You just have to be willing to build a country for power rather than revenue.

I've had several top 10's in tourney A and various solo game servers. It just takes a good attack force and you can force your will on some fat assed turret monkeys. :)A

This is always what I thought. For example, there was that LaF division who ran all jetters just to do retals. I didn't think there was anything wrong with sending a 2 Jet planned strike against one of them to collect a huge amount of land, for no cost, effectively.

In fact, back in the days when you had to landkill countries, that helped me survive a war. :) It was Don Blubb's country that paid the price though. LOL I remember, it was very funny. I was still just happy to be able to survive that last gasp kill run by our enemy. :)

I believe that Don Blubb learned to check the news before launching any attacks after that. :)

I start teching before coming out of protection so I can be the first to market with tech and grab those high prices that you can demand when no one else is selling tech.

I'll tech until I'm maxed out and some, then I'll convert to my fnal configuration as a dict/rarmer to be ready for any kind of action. :)

7th Heaven is still one of the best I've ever seen. He plays a solid game, treats all players with respect, and that is part of the secret to his success. When he would landgrab someone, he would always send a message to them. This is a smart thing to do. It prevents suiciders from coming at you when the end of the reset approaches.

It seems to me that it must be much easier to netgain now, vs then. I know because I've managed to get into the top 200 with a fully war prepped country a couple of times, that never would have happened in the old days. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed in this. It makes me get a chubby to know that there isn't any country in the game that is out of my reach should a war break out unexpectedly. :)

Sometimes, when I try to use my bonus points, I get kicked out to the bonus acquisition page, for lack of a better term, sometimes, I'm allowed to use the points. I have discerned no particular relationship between which work and which don't at this time.

MI was not born out of TGA either. It had recruited some TGA players, but was actually founded by three former members of the OOA.

Boatswain, Loch Sloy, and Timberwolf were the first three overlorads of the original MI.

Funny, I checked the photo and it states right on it that the sun was behind the moon.

With Venus visible above the moon at the 11 O'Clock position, it would stand to reason that the sun was in fact behind the moon when the picture was taken.

I understand from my brother who plays that that they have a cool feature dealing with spy ops. You country can maintain copies of spy reposts you've gotten in the game automatically. You don't need any outside alliance site support to do it. It just maintains a copy for you so you don't have to make your own copies. That would seem to be a pretty good thing, I'm not sure how it's implemented though having never played the game myself.

This is an admirable situation. I also use the same name every reset. People do learn who you are, and they learn to avoid you if it costs too much to try to landgrab you. Some alliances even learn to avoid doing the retal because it costs so much and they can never get all the land back, and in most cases can't even get back a fourth of it.

This seriously defeats the whole purpose of the alliance game. The purpose here is to compete with other alliances for dominance, dominance being defined as the ability to take another alliances land, perhaps suffer a retal, maybe get your land back, or not get your landback and just have to live with it. One alliance is dominant, the other is a beeeyotch! That's the way of the game here.

This is a nice change for people who don't do a lot of spying, I suspect. It doesn't really affect my country/countrys in FFA, I usually succeed on the first try with regular spy ops.
