if you pick up the xpacs for it....quite a bit... that being said i'd get the xpacs cause they add so many game mechanics that playing without them then getting them would cause you to learn the game all over again.

best bet is to play with somebody else in multiplayer and use a voip and learn with them playing a country near you to bail you out when you get in trouble

once you understand it tho it will swallow all your time...such a detail/mechanic intensive game that your constantly changing strategy's to counter AI's moves and random world/country events

arg says it can't find yours try adding SacrificialRevelations love how you can play the same countries but playthrough is never the same twice starting as some of the indian minor nations is friggin rough

no just went back and checked and its an old one.....3 play throughs and 50 odd hours later and the last 2 reforms for HRE keep eluding me

that and getting any sort of PU seems like winning the lotto now instead of the 50/50 chance it used to be...

that and on hard the AI's seem to take you getting any sort of pU as a personal challenge and insult and want to war just to disolve it... russia made a b line through ottomans and commenwealth just to attack me to break my austria's PU with hungary...and i was allied with them until that

ford you still in NC? haven't payed attention to where you live these days but in raleigh and cary couple of the theaters run 5$ tuesdays... 5 for tickets and then 5 for a med drink and small popcorn....i know parkwest 14 and crossroads imax's run 8$ on tuesdays as part of the deal to....i normally go to a noon showing on tuesday while the kiddies are in school

poor sluggy...i took him to a huricanes game damn near 12 years ago...semi stayed in touch... met him durring the HAN war while he was stationed in NC with Gator and Beldin.. he was one of the original group of us that reformed Ragnarok after leaving the SoC/TGA merger...ran multies with him...suicided on laf with him...overall caused grief all around with him...even got him a color for a stint in RD.....so much fun had back in the day

shall we make a list of cheating done by alliances on this server since pang and co. brought the game back and see how alliances stack up in number of instances and the overall size and scope of cheating that has been found out?

somehow i don't see RD at the top of the list.


i, myself, have done many things in the past that 99% of you disagree with. i broke the rules every way i could. don't get me wrong i'm not apologizing by any means. i did what i did and had fun doing it.


however when pang started up this game crimson, myself and some others promised him we'd do our best to keep things clean inhouse.

pang can vouch that i've discussed several times with him when i thought something fishy was going on.

even worked with laf during the purple thing.

everybody here on these boards likes to talk about "another chance" or "don't blame the group for 1 person" right until their own hated alliance gets mentioned. for some this is sof...for some laf...for some sol...for alot RD *waves at the fans*

but simply because a group of friends got together...and through years long friendships brought back a hated name for some and a home for others...to be hated for past transgressions anfer all the blah blah blah thrown around on this board for every other alliance...its getting old
