DL, i'm just saying, adding adjectives would help a more epic feeling to it,

but if the way the admins want to do it, by pure stats, it would be great also. saying amount of kills, hits, and % of total available would be nice.

we could include significant events within the politics also. if some how an alliance decide to enforce country : country retal and cause wars that last for resets...

LD, the person in relations is giving me the Call Display for free, so I don't know if she can actually give me both for free. But I'm paying $2 a month for Call and Name Display along with Early 6pm, so I'm not complaining.

I actually don't have texting at all now, can you offer it to me?

$5 for 250 is a bit too much, is there a $3 for 100? $1 for 50?

Maybe less vague on war stats in numbers, but maybe something like,

LaF had a devastating 24 Hour First Strike in the JUN/AUG 2010 Reset where they killed half of RAGEnELY's countries. Creating many topics in our forums debating the fairness factor of a larger alliance vs a smaller alliance.

What's really funny is that.

Over the past weekend, I spent 8 hours talking to Rogers Reps.

I was tricked into buying $20 stupid value pack seven months ago for Text and Voicemail.. and name and call display, while when I bought the phone, the dude told me the $20 was for Voicemail, name and call display and unlimited network calling.

So after spending 8 hours between representatives, I ended up with the $20 package taken off, renewing contract for a early 6pm evening time (They can do this with everyone by the way, ask what they can offer if you renew your contract with Rogers for 3 years). And customer rep kept offering me unlimited text for 2 months, which was good, but useless to me, so I got bounced to customer relations.

After another half hour with this lady in customer relations, I ended up with free call display ($8 a month) and free early 6pm evening ($7 a month) for the rest of the duration of my contract, which I just renewed at 3 years.

$15 x 12 x 3 = $540 I have just saved in the next 3 years.

I threw her a bone and registered for Name display at $2 a month.





I am also selling my iPhone 3GS 32GB, minor scratches, $100.

I really think that winning a reset allows you to pick your own Country # between, 1 and 75% of that reset's total unique members? before everyone else. (And the system would not release his country to public until the previous numbers have all been created?) Would be interesting.

Creating a Production % for buildings. (Residental would decrease income as well since condition of building is poor, lower rental income.)

2500 Farms, 300 Indy, 240 CS. 1960 empty acres, that you can use your turns to built, instead of scavaging turns?

Would create even more flexibility for warmongers to customize their restart.

Change it from 3 and 6 turns to 1 and 2 turns. Maybe add interest on cash on hand? Would add a new element combining with the Cash decay over 2bil thing.

The reason why it was implemented was probably because Mehul didn't want people on 24/7, eating up his bandwidth for Utopia.

W's idea is great.

complication sometimes is the simpler option.
These things would give 'new' members and 'oldies' something new, new members would find it interesting and feel they didn't waste all their time, oldies gets to have another thing to try and optimize, especially the warmongers, who have all been complaining about too many changes for netgainers.

Teaching these people that going nuts can get them killed very fast, surely would let them understand, and if they don't care about dying and just want to cause destruction, we can direct them to iMag

@ Detmer, proxies, reinstall windows, people with high levels of computer knowledge can wipe those logs.

@llaar, no offense, but of all people, you wouldn't be too 'lazy' to do anything. Considering what came out and all in the past month.

Also, suspend bonus should be all countries related to that country, the person who refered him, would lock all his bonus turns, and not give bonus to who refered him. The person who the offending country refered, would not recieve bonus either. Effectively cutting the chain.

Maybe an alliance wide penalty if more then a % of an alliance is found to have abused the new system. All countries under tag would lose out on some bonus turns, maybe a 'Wrath of God' spell removes a % of land from the whole alliance. (1%?)

You could have the country pre-built

% of acres as CSes, % of acres as Farms (Because after your country is destroyed, pretty much from scratch, all they can do is farm on land), about half empty acres.

As you use turns towards 100 of restart protection, you gain the ability to start building residential, industrial, enterprize, military base, oil rigs and finally research labs. Through different stages, thus preventing people from going insane IC right away.

Tech points should not be salvaged, if a country is destroyed, their computers are gone. Things break.
Spies should be very low %, small faction of loyal spies.
Troops also should be very low %.
Jets should be all gone, maybe a few? That 'saved' your leader.
Tanks should be all gone.
Turrets would be based on the 'level' you were, and should gain more as you use turns up to said protection's ending, as your people recover and fix your turrets. If it was a BR kill, less turrets.

If we're going through all this, this definitely needs to be detailed. Gives these new people more back stories, more things to feel for their country.

also BPN members would be tagged BPN, basically once they buy out, they'll be untagged, and then forming their own tag.

with that much planning, it would be an organized alliance, and i'm sure everyone would notice if an alliance all of a sudden disappeared.

maybe allow BPN only for members that have recently signed up through Facebook app?

If someone goes through the trouble to make a new account, even if he doesn't use his old again, the moment he logs into the same server with new account, admins would be notified.

Aside from GDI, maybe a BPN, Beginners Protection Network.

Opt'ed in. Locked for Reset, Cannot Leave. No Costs. Would direct you to a Support Team Member (A thing the Devs are brewing) to help you understand basic game concepts.

~ -75% Attack gains on SS/PS (Since All-Explorers are very viable)
~ +100% Defensive Strength Before Allies.
~ Turn Count Modified to 120(Infinite)
~ NM/EM/CM can be created, but not used unless you declare war.
~ BPN Automatically removes you from BPN if you exceed 12,000 Acres or $7 Million NW, or if your total Bushels/Oil Barrels owned, (On hand, and on the market) exceeds 150million bushels or 50million Oil Barrels.
~ You may not send FA Packages to anyone.
~ Defensive and Intelligence allies will be assigned by BPN's representative with other BPN members.
~ Offensive, and Research allies effectiveness will be cut in 50%
~ As a BPN member, you are protected from offensive spy operations through a vastly implemented street watch program. Increasing your spy count to 300 per acre automatically from your civilians!

I think the whole issue was that Rage/Ely's FR Contacts continually refused to sit down on the negotiating table to even try to address the issues. Normally when multiple hits exchange between alliances, pacted or unpacted, especially with prior relations, would seemingly use communications to help sort out the issues.

I'm not FR, I didn't even pay attention to everything that was going on, so that was my personal take, before this war, I logged into LaF maybe once a week. This has nothing to do with LaF, just my personal view. I am confused.

Non game breaking, nothing exactly to gain by warmongers, probably a very extreme case of TMBR maybe able to gain a little more benefit, but that might require a really high BPT.

It's interesting indeed. Maybe have CSes also lower building costs per acre?

Remember, there will be a Facebook app, there will be a new influx of players, and these new players are what this game needs to grow.

If you want play speed increase, there's express server, maybe they should implement an express alliance / team server? Would be hell of fun to FS with 400 turns and the other side being on to CS and Wall while you get turns pumped into you.

Trust me when I say this llaar, I don't know if you have looked at spreadsheets at all, but every hit past the first will have less returns then what it will be now, and if DR3, which is Country : Country based, and resets with the game reset, was to be implemented, you would see people stop farming a country after 20 - 40 hits on that country, dependent on how often they attack.


And please, if you don't like it, say so, and move on, or help out pointing out errors or ways to manipulate it a bit more. This isn't anything official, it's me and enshula, and various others on IRC and here that wants to do something to see if it can work.

I spend my time however I want, you don't like this, GTFO.

These suggested changes will help out the untags, the small tags, a lot.

the current form of farming till the target hits 10DR, then wait 24 hours. Would be totally destroyed through an additional DR for Country : Country based DR.

Sure, if the country gets hit by 10 different countries, he would lose the same amount as he would now. But, that's only if I don't suggest yet another change, to the current DR. (Which I actually did do calculations for, you see all the empty posts up there? I wanted to redo everything in spreed sheets to allow easier access and viewing, will take some time to write them again @ work ATM)

If we curb the current DR from 100-100-100-80-80-50-50-35-35-15*

to
100-95-90-80-75-50-45-35-30-15*

Then we could really lower the amount of land lost by the untag/small tag, but the ghost acres would still make it 'beneficial' for someone to bottom feed a few hits.

I'm not suggesting / trying to prevent bottom feeding, nor am I trying to 'fix' land trading, I'm just trying to curb it so that it would be easier for those being farmed, and harder for those that try and abuse the current 'loophole'

It should be able to be implemented where it only affects failed GS, since current DR only affects SS/PS returns anyways, but not GS/BR/AB.

Failed hits causing less DR is an interesting idea, again, same with failed GS, it probably would be coded with argument of true or false on the hit. Might make loading the attack screen a couple miliseconds longer.

Your first part definitely can be done if the game is coded where land gained and ghost acres are separate, which seems like they are according to boxcar news.

Second part would be great to balance FFA a little bit more, and stop people helping their friends in solo servers as well.

The DR2 and DR3 that we suggest are by no means strict, we can add DRs to infinity. If we were to try and calculate with what you suggested, a separate category for Real Acres and Ghost Acres, then would it not be correct if we split it into three and use Buildings as another? So Empty Acres, Buildings, and Ghost Acres.

Would need more testing to see exactly what the formula is for the returns for each of the three. I know it's estimated at 50%, but the amount of empty acres the target has can have an affect on the returns.

Would be interesting indeed.
