Try it there for now, it's a complete calculations table for introducing DR2, and then DR3.1 and DR3.2, with various forms of farming, 10 hits in a row, 5 or 4 or 3 hits a day, and 3 hits every DR2 time frame.

Tomorrow I will work on adding a 2nd attacker and see how it would interact with different DRs with the other attacker

Please feel free to add ideas and requests, I'll try and get it done as soon as possible.


I have to thank enshula and torment for a lot of discussions and teaching me about formulas on spreed sheets, else I would still be typing and calculating manually, which I did before for about 3 hours.

Guess what, you are wrong when you try and use numbers against LaF.

Including myself from when EE started, there have been 20 new members that have joined LaF, no, not a returning veteran, but a brand new recruit. These 20 members have stuck around and actually still play a country today.

If I count the amount of members we have removed from LaF, or moved on to other alliances, or new recruits that didn't stick, then that's another 20.

Then we would have to look at the amount of players that came back from retirement, and those that have gone to 'retirement' which ends up pretty even in numbers.

Since you are not in LaF, there's no way that you would know these numbers. But I have logs of applications and I damn well know how many people I recruit and talk to.

I went through the trouble to track down every single person who had played in LaF's email address and spent an afternoon sending emails. I spent hours and hours spamming Primary, Express, Tournament servers manually, since Pang still won't code me a spambot, until I had some personal problems in the recent months.







Now, this has nothing to do with the current wars and political impact of said membership difference, but I take offense in what you are trying to sell, LaF doesn't retain members because we have a Dev on our roster. LaF members don't give a crap if Pang benefits from them playing the game. LaF members play the game because we love the game and we are damn good at it. LaF members play because we play for LaF, we strive to be the best. We have members that have been in LaF for over 10 years and that are STILL active.

There's a reason why we're the oldest and strongest surviving Alliance in this game. We're a family, we don't treat our members like numbers in a accounting book.

Oh, and LaF recruitment is currently closed due to our current war, if you wish to apply, please do so at the end of the reset, thanks for your time and have a Pang'ed day.

So I've been thinking and chatting with a few people that likes to do the math while I throw out ideas.

Current DR expires after 24 hours, let's call it DR1.

What if we introduced additional DRs that are SS/PS based, would it help promote less farming, and maybe curve the effectiveness and overpowering power of land trading?

DR1, Current implementation, but with adjustment. All hits apply. 24 hours, auto refresh on new hits.
100-100-100-80-80-50-50-35-35-15-15

DR2, Country : Country based. SS/PS Only. 96 hours, auto refresh on new hits like DR1. 5%? each?

DR3 Country : Country based. SS/PS Only. Resets when server resets. Penalty on this DR would be much smaller then DR1 and DR2, but, would be enough so that it deters players from farming one particular country. Maybe 2% each hit?

120(120) has given FSes such a huge advantage since it was introduced. If you have a big enough showing in your FS, often it would already decide the final out come of the whole war. Especially if both sides are have around the same amount of members.

Some suggestions a few others and I have came up with over an hour in IRC was,

- Increasing penalties of civ losses, which would mean taking more turns to kill a country, and increasing civ population. (Which might be a buff to cashers)

-24 hour window after declaration where the FS have to wait??? *shrug* Something along with a declaration of war in game by tag controller that would also be announced in game, before an alliance is allowed to do more then say 400 hits on another alliance within a 24 hour period?
*So a War Dec would be followed by a kill run, that's how wars usually are started anyways, some guy flys a plane into your building, or you shoot a missle at your own government building. Someone has to die.*


My personal suggestion was to change how stored turns come out.

At the current of 120(120) @ FS, log out after finish turns, log in 18 hours later,

would = 114(66), then 114(8), then 68.


curbing it to two turns per 3 intervals = 120(120), 96(84), 96(48), 96(12), 72
curbing it to one turn per 2 intervals = 120(120), 87(93), 87(66), 87(39), 87(12), then 72
curbing it to one turn per 3 intervals = 120(120), 78(102), 78(84), 78(66), 78(48), 78(30), 78(12), 72


Would definitely create longer wars and more evened out so that the aggressor does not get a huge advantage.

For the Facebook server, different languages sure will help, but if will implement it on the 'main' server, we might look into having separate servers if the group is big enough, ala sudden 5000 malaysians show up.

Because doing FR is hard enough already with some really off the wall folks, it would just be hilarious to see cross-language FR work.



But then again, you get this popular in China? Watch out.

EDIT : I speak fluent Cantonese and could possibly translate it, but Mandarin (Which, most of China speaks) is a different form of text, and probably someone that's fluent Mandarin would server better.

But their all farming WoW gold anyways, doubt they have time to play a text game.
