It's been a while and there were a few interesting changes in the Game. Now you (as a player and the ruler of your Town) can roll up your sleeves and engage in your Town activities, helping your workers to complete ongoing tasks, train more troops, or do some farming or trading to produce a bit of an extra Gold or Food. 2 Scott (about art classes) - hmm... spend a few years learning and drawing and make my game look like a million other Chinese/Korean/etc games? Nope, thank you. I like my art, my kids like it, and many other people do as well - mind you, I'm not an artist and it's not bad for not an artist ;)

2 Link - yep I have, but for a short time. It is a bit too much "text-based" for me, like no graphics at all, and a bit too dark :( There must be very good mathematicians in the team for calculating all these processes - I can tell as a specialist ;) Besides, I have a game to run, not much time is left (actually none) for running anything else ;)

Hmm... I can't say much about graphics as they have a team of professional artists and I'm only a developer who had to learn how to draw (regardless, I like my units much better than Travian's), but... the Gameplay is much more advanced (or at least different) than Travian or many other game that I know of the same genre.

The only common thing between two games is that you start in a small village... From their on it's pretty much all different (but don't you start in a "small village" in a lot of games?). No tedious micro-management with dozens of crop fields and clay pits; you can control only one town; no blatant farming of new players by somebody who started a bit later than you. Different system of artifacts, different system of surrounding locations, different system of advancing to a new level (that's not in Travian at all); different system of diplomacy - only personal alliances and no dominant groups that control the game; a chance to play and win for anyone. Different system of combat - if you detect an incoming attack, you can scout it and then decide whether you want to defend, counter-attack it, hire more mercenaries, or let it hit your town and dodge it, but then you can intercept returning enemy troops and claim back everything what they captured from your town. I can continue for quite a while, but the point is - it's the same genre, but different games.

I'm not saying that Traivan is bad - I'm saying that they are different and only a person who hasn't tried Undecima, can say that Undecima is "whatever" version of Traivan. Some people would still prefer Travian, but some will find Undecima more original and interesting to play.

I just listened (as watching videos at work is frowned upon ;) ) and have to say - not impressed at all. An average voice and an average tune, maybe videos are better, but... Nothing to catch on. She's out of my age range for "digging it" anyway, but Taylor Swift (who's out of my age range as well) is more interesting in my opinion ;)

That's something new, you're the first to see it this way :)

In this video, we are going to complete the Game's tutorial, have a look at and get a feel for how to play the game, and learn about all basic buildings and main concepts of the Game. The Tutorial will walk you through the early stage of the game, starting from the very beginning and to the point where you research your Town Class.
