Mac computers are great for a lot of things, but nothing beats a PC. I've been told countless times that Apple computers are better for graphics design and music editing, but with some serious know how you can accomplish the same and sometimes better with a PC.

Seriously?! I played FFA during the era of players having thousands of countries per tag, when First Strikes were hideously crippling. Before mIRC, we had to do an IRC chat via ICQ having as many people online as we could get to hammer the hell out of our opponent(s) we may not have won all of our wars, but regardless of the outcome it was fun.

The only complaint that can be made about First Strikes being too powerful is if you consistently find yourself on the receiving end of them. Lowering the turn rate will piss more people off in the long run as when you had to wait a full hour per turn, your start-ups took days to play. While keeping the current turn rate in place, you're still going to piss people off, but you can't please everyone.

The JavaScript idea is nice, but even then you're still going to have those people, who with the right browser will simply disable JavaScript, and continue on their merry way without impediment.

Formalize war declarations? As in some kind of in-game script or something that will allow a tag to declare war on another? This idea has good intentions, however you'll find that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. This idea would only take the spontaneity out of the game. If whomever declares war on a tag in-game, the element of surprise is lost and you've given your opponent(s) little, but enough time to come up with at least a semi-effective defense strategy. You'd have to synchronize your in-game DOW with your forums DOW just to keep whatever advantage you may have.

Awesome, getting this game out there for other potential players will be great. You can't get them all, but there's hope that a percentage of them will play. What has me wondering is if you can advertise for EE on games like TEQ, Travian, TribalWars, and Nationstates, as they all have some kind of banner ads there advertising some other game.

Sons Of Liberty (SOL). SOF should be SOTF (Survival Of The Fittest), but who knows why they forget the 'T' maybe SOF seemed catchier, who knows.

The game isn't in decline, some servers haven't seen the number of people playing them like the original Earth had. I am not sure what kind of promotion is being done to draw people to this game, but aside from everyone IM'ing or e-mailing everyone they know and informing them there won't be much you can do in the aspect of getting people to play.

There are scores of people I have talked to in the last three weeks that have walked away from the original Earth in disgust over the bots, the server shutdowns, the game itself being sold to OMAC, the game being shutdown by OMAC, having only one person overseeing the whole she-bang and having him play favorites with his servers and acting like a complete fluff to the other(s).

If anything the developers need to think about promoting this game further, beyond the social networking sites like Myspace, Facebook and Twitter and look to getting this game out to those playing these carbon-copy wannabe's that believe because they've changed the name, and added some flashy graphics that it will attract people. I've played TEQ, I've played Promisance, and others like it and I have to say that my time playing those games was short-lived as I was always coming back to Earth.

I like the ability to say fluff instead of "f×ck", "fück", or "f_ck, can I buy a vowel?"

That's mainly the reason I'm even posting LMAO. Also, I prefer to turn the swear filter off. Seeing fluff all the time makes me cringe as back when I played real hardcore it was basically interchangeable with any swear word you could use.
