The
fluff I can't. What about when the complaint is that there's no one to vote for in good conscience?
You're deluding yourself if you don't think every one of these
fluffers is on someone else's very short leash.

We are operating on past beliefs that are obsolete in today's world.
Spot on. The world is presently in transition from the industrial to the digital age. Societies will have to find their way in making the proper cultural adjustments to adapt. The best reference points I can think of are the transitions from the stone age to the agrarian age and from the agrarian age to the industrial age. Note the time compression when comparing the two.
These were complete game changers, impacting governance, religion, social norms, inter/intra-societal protocols, etc. Though usually slow, the changes were drastic to where, in some cases, what was considered moral and socially acceptable became immoral, socially reprehensible, even forbidden. Rule of thumb, anyone?
As a species, we are about to mature (just a bit). The alternative is premature extinction - ain't gonna happen (this time, anyway). Growth involves an amount of stress and discomfort. Hang on to your boots and try not to lose your
fluff when the interesting parts come your way. They're already showing up here and there.
