I watched part of it. But it's not only the FDA that has found Burzinsky's work flawed. Government agencies are deeply flawed. But they are also open and leak like a sieve. The idea that corporate greed could shut up the health and regulatory departments of so many countries for so long without people talking is pretty far fetched.

I don't doubt that most big cancer charities are a scam(they are). I don't doubt that big pharma companies don't really care about curing cancer(they don't).

But I also think we're in la-la land if you think mysterious companies can keep regulators across the world from approving cancer cures. I also don't think as many billionaires would die of cancer if it was just money keeping the cure away.

I'm always confused by the whole toxic *blah blah blah* people keep spewing. they've been spewing this crap for decades now.

I pop in and out of Earth every few years. I'm pretty sure SoF were LaF's BFFs last time I played. But outside of a couple of poor form AT posts(example: there was one between karnage and some other dude where they got personal on another thread last week) the atmosphere I find is pretty jovial.

war sets I pop in and out of war chats where we talk fluff, complain about our kids, and call each other names.

You guys are really defensive. Wow. I got no beefs, when you've played the game as long as most of us you've literally seen it all.

Diss - Nah. Take a look at the numbers, the likelihood of LaF coming back from that was slim. The truth is that two big tags with the FS is a strong advantage over many small tags being FSd. Always has been. Sure LaF could come back, but it looks like we didn't.

Vamps - Read into my post what you want. It doesn't really matter. Though if we're talking about the 'sad group,' we should all probably look in a mirror. MD or SoF(or even Rage or Arrow) in their heyday would likely tagkill all of us in an FS nowadays. All tags are a shadow of what they once were. I honestly just assumed that Elders and SOL just got together to do what they could to hasten the end of this server.

Edit: Just to add, bragging about outhitting people is kinda rich in a fight like this.

Link - I spoke about hindsight. But I also have excellently tinted rose coloured goggles. :)

I thought imag and stones did great. As per always, having imag around for the party always makes war more fun. Stones have also been great sports. But yah, from the first 48 hours it was obvious that Sol/Elders had an easy victory.

hindsight being hindsight it's easy to see it was an error for LaF not to just crush Elders with an FS like we have the last few sets. But it is what it is. I can't say I'd do anything different were I LaF leadership were I in their shoes.

There's not really any 'fairness' here.

Elders alone could probably have smashed Stones, OMA, RED, and Imag. It takes time to coordinate separate alliances. Any imagined equality in numbers is greatly overshadowed by the FS+ planning time. It's not that pound for pound elders are 'better.' Totally the opposite: Elders have been beat down for a few sets now.

Give us a month to incorporate all 5 tags into one tag and this would be a whole other ball game. But it's not. As is Rage is simply an additional insurance policy.

but do you have any proof? I'm genuinely curious. Because afaik we weren't tech stealing. there was even a big conversation on our site because we suspected your guys of stealing tech from us. The NW changes and logins lined up too well too many times. We were even told to take no retaliation even if we caught you guys. Just to report the failures and to save turns.

To be honest, they are slowly getting to it. Just Evo and SOL that are floating through it all. Though the size thing obviously isn't it. As evo has the 2nd largest country.

I guess I think it's kinda lame. Because most alliances refuse to fight back hitting everyone with strategy just means you have even less of a fight. If you just started with the scores list and worked your way down it would've been more dangerous and interesting.

Though I guess that's their fault, not yours.

Organize and fight if you want, and if you don't want to, go on with netting next set and thereafter. Or hope the rest of the server organizes and fights and kills us all and you go unscathed. Don't be such poor sports. I think the decision by our leadership was bold, and the only play that isn't bullying anyone. The server had more countries, more NW, more activity, so I'm not shocked at all not everyone was dec 24 hours in advance.

haha. nope. Taking on a couple of 5-10 person clans isn't 'taking on the server.'

You can fight whoever you want. But you didn't take on the server. You took on OMA, Stones, Imag, and LCN. You outnumbered the four tags you actually hit by what? 30 countries? It's a war game, and you're quitting. So do what you want. But pretending like this is some cool fight is idiotic. You outnumbered them many to one, out netted them, and had the FS.

This is a gang bang of the biggest tag in the game of a couple of little guys.

To be fair, I thought the AB FS was a waste of turns as well. I also think it would've been a better fight had we waited till later in the set. That said, LaF won. So ultimately Vic was right in choosing the OOP fight.

I actually think it would've been coolest if we had waited till now, MD had waited for LaF and Sof/Elders to waste our FS and CS and jumped us both.

Could you imagine how cool that three way fight would've been? Legendary.

1) Meh, I actually appreciate Elders. fluffy warmongers can spice things up.

2) LaF's inability to war(due to fighting without a war bot) should've hindered us more. But we've had the deepest bench in this game for years.

3) Also, I've always disliked the multi-set grudges that develop when people lose a war. Like, yeesh, get over it. You will eventually get tuckered out and quit angrily. And LaF will still be here, like we have for the last ... getting pretty close to 20 years now.
