Haha, yeah they actually did help you. I was planning to keep going, but I ended up missing some grabbing time, login to over 600 turns, get my jets stuck, close to overflow I just gave up.

Nice 96m again gerdler, congrats to the top 10.

Here's a question. Say I have 1m turrets and 2 allies with 4m each. We've established i can only double my 1m to 2m, but how much does each ally help? Will they both suffer losses on 1m turrets, or 500k each?

You get 25% of your ally's D. You can only double your own raw break though.

You should stick to teching income techs. The others are typically only worth the $1000 minimum. Try to sell most of your tech before the last day too.

I sold military at $100 until the last day when $150 sold quick. I ended up buying the rest of my tech at almost 2k with ~7 hours left. Good thing I went ahead and bought it because indy tech was bought out later, lol.

Very competitive set. Great stuff. Congrats gerdler!

Yep, np. Most people explore to at least 4k here before they start grabbing because land is scarce. Also, most here respond harshly when someone breaks gdi. Read the gdi page if you haven't, it's important here.

I think twopodray should focus on how to grab here. The idea is to not grab people that can ruin your country. Breaking gdi on 3 different good countries just to get to 3k acres isn't ideal =P

Tech will prob be in the mid $3000s early, and mid $2000s a few weeks in. Jets/turrets around $130. Food at $40 for half the set, jumping to over $50 the second half. Of course that can vary alot.

I had over 2m spies, but almost everyone else in the top 10 had a way higher spal. I wanted to spy some of them, but I had to save them to keep tabs on sector gaza, lol.

Nice job MILORD, that's a good nw for a spy heavy 30k acre commie. I had to keep 50m turrets to avoid your friend's retal. I'm glad he made top 10 too!

I think targeting countries that never hit you with the intent to ruin their experience is what the sanctions are for koh. If your intent is revenge for current set issues or for personal gain, you should be fine.

I can answer your question superfly. Assuming the person you hit tries to retal, any good player will not only retal successfully, but get more than your original grab. If you manage to avoid a retal by producing millions of turrets you otherwise wouldn't need, the expenses will make it not worth it. That leaves inactives and rainbows as the only viable human countries to hit. If you're not trying to improve your country, then go for it. All that matters is you're having fun without breaking any rules =)

Clearly skill and effort contribute. An inefficient player can play all day, but still lose to bots. Top players have shown they can easily hit 45m nw without much effort which can actually win. When skill is equal, effort may very well decide the winner.

I don't know why people still talk about camping. I have no idea how that works now. Whenever my jets are available, I go on eestats and find some bots in low dr to hit. Once you start having an idea of how certain bots play, as well as which ones most humans hit, your searches become easier.

I'm not a fan of speed play. My fingers hit wrong buttons all the time(sometimes it clicks all bushels on my pm when I'm buying something else!), and I don't play quickly in general. That's why I don't war on clan servers because I'll die in 10 seconds and I hit slow, lol.

That's a pro for allies. I definitely made some pals when I first came back through in game alliances. I currently wouldn't pursue allies on express, but maybe once bots can retal it'll be more important.

Lol, I've only done a couple rounds of grabs so far. Most times I check this set my goods are stuck and every bot is in crazy high dr.
