yea this war is oddly "shaped" Im not sure how to weigh in on who would have an advantage. Sanct has big countries with techs left over from the original war with SOF. Most of these were maimed, sold off millions of spies, changed govs, etc.. (no excuses, dont get me wrong). So we have the NW advantage, but we have fewer countries and did not have any stored turns. It's hard to determine what the advantage is but it is all in good fun anyway so it doesnt really matter eh?

Bigger countries Vs Samller restarts, with a 7 member adavntage, the FS and many more turns.

i think its fair enough.

technically you could jump off the public as a demo and just wait till prices rise a bit and resell off your PM later and keep gaining NW.
I imagine that jumping while food prices are high and while military prices are low is a good strategy for a techer, seeing that tech prices were pretty crappy early in the set and also late in the set... only the War tehcs were high for a few weeks due to the ECM/sof war. No point to keep on teching now i dont think. Cashers could have had a good set this set me thinks.

lol, i played baseball for 16 years, recently found myself unable though i still try. I played some soccer, football, basketball(today), swam and ran cross country back in the day, and also played some racquetball. I guess its time to go play softball, but i just cant seem to like it.

indeed. SOL have good leaders and they are willing to help out other alliances that show some type of goodwill during FA talks or any other type of in-game respect. You think SOL and NA have always been friends? Certainly not, but SOL is trying to do what they think is best for the game. NA was once great, and their members want to net... so let them do that.
If you got your goal of NA disbanding, they would either quit or just join other netting tags, then you would move on and do it to someone else. SOL is doing what is best for the server in my opinion.

i miss NCState and Wake. I'm a big wake fan and grew up very close to campus. I think Duke should be number 1 but I think it is hard to say Carolina should be top 15 with 6 losses (some to not so good teams)

and LaF, I honestly have no hard feelings though I don't see what you did as wise whether it was planned or not. It is easy to see when you are corssing a line, and your members did just that, knowing that FA's would sort it out later and they would still be free to netgain.

the problem becomes enforcing the rule, but I thkn that if the majority of clans in the server vote on this rule, the mods could enforce the rule by deleting clans who were significantly FA's to the top.

on another note I think the same should go for internal farming of land

I think people who do FA chains should be neglected at the end of the set for netting purposes... but you cant ban FA'ing countries in the game because of its importance in war.

So the only way to solve the problem (since mods cant just outlaw it) is to try and have all clans agree to disallow the practice. I dont really see why any clan would be opposed to this.

thanks for not killing off people who are netting Ivan, I think we all can appreciate that from war clans. At least let a netting clan know war is coming if you want to kill them, to make it fun for all involved (it is a game).

I respect that you atleast gave NA an ultimatum of war in advance... its not like you blindsided them out of nowhere. Though in their defense you were far more prepped, but everyone had a chance to have fun.

I dont blame anyone for FA'ing to the top. If you guys want to frown upon it so be it...that is just part of the politics of this game. If I was the 11th place guy I would still feel the same sense of accomplishment knowing that i built a legit top 10 country. There are no cash prizes for being in t10, just a pat on the back.

I was the Collab guy who was FA'd to the top10 because, as I recall it, we had one member who chose to quit because we either had a short war or killed some multies or suiciders...something that prevented him from netting and he was a war guy anyway. So he volunteered to FA instead of just leaving. I had spent a fair amount of turns attacking instead of netting so i accepted the FA to "make collab look better"

I didnt make collab look any better and in retrospect I should have personally deleted my country before sets end, but either way its not outlawed tactic in this server nor are buyouts, theyre just frowned upon... and many frowned upon me, in my own clan even, but if you want it to stop then outlaw the practice otherwise its fair game to anyclan who wants a t10 spot.

For SOF it could be an advertising scheme, for new players to see a top 3 clan in members who also have countries in the top 10 in NW and are also good warrers. Seems like an attractive place to learn the game from a new member standpoint.

id like to see a SOL vs SOF with some others involved. My guess is that SOL is the better of the two (not that it wouldnt be a good war).

A good server war would be fun, well atleast a 3v3 with SOL and SOF on opposite sides.

you guys have been doing a great job rebuilding the last 2 sets. I know you had a down period but you seemed to have boosted numbers and activity lately and I would like to see you guys back in the mix next set war wise.

Good luck to both sides... No matter how the set goes win/lose, You both have a chance to prove how organized you are and how active you both are.

Still a lot of time ahead of us this set, we will see how it affects your membership for next set, I imagine it would be a positive effect for SOL and negative for LaF, but LaF has been known to recruit as well as SOF did this set, will be interesting to see.

Enjoy the war now that it started, regardless of what caused it.
