#8 has to be the big favorite to win. Food prices have risen, his land is huge, and with dict 25%+ military and all that net, it's unlikely for someone to break him.

I don't really want to have stopped grabbing yet but at this point all the targets are gone.

Maybe he came back up through SO's and Serp logged in during the right window to strike, or maybe he was waiting to build up turns to fire a big missile stock.

That Kungpao guy is just living off land trades. He topfeeds and eats the retal and doesn't seem to mind the retal. If you just want to retal again you will probably be okay. But you never know.

While I like a top 10 finish, I just don’t have the analytical mind and strategy to actually win. A war late in the game when I’m more than ready is always a personal favourite of mine. Then I still try for top 10 finishes with the war (which is easier than winning the game), and the whole game becomes very fulfilling.

I gotta respect these guys that tire of getting pushed around. They're playing the game for fun and it sucks to be hit over and over. It's also the nature of the game so we all do it, but it's gotten more brutal over the years with fewer people playing. It used to be that multi-tapping was rare, hit once and move on, but now it's just a fact of life. Someone stood up to me and blew up a few thousand of my buildings and I respected him for that. I also farmed him and jumped out of humanitarians but still. ✊

Stock turns and defuse them all at once, then brawl. He broke GDI first so you can take advantage of that.

Or just retal again and see what happens. Maybe nothing but that's a lot of missiles.

Tech sucks so techers are out. There's two top commies, two top farmers, and two top cashers. Winner should come from there, but any of them could be crippled by topfeed, a big retal landgrab or missile/spy warfare. No way to tell who will end up on top right now although this has been a perfect commie set.

Tech start is better in typical rounds, but in this reset I personally think I'd have preferred a cash start.

Is there potentially a difference between having 1 extra turn every other day throughout the reset, and 30 turns added at your peak stocking period? Part of me thinks the former is too small to make a real difference, and less impactful than just maxing out your login bonuses. But another part of me thinks turns are turns.

Yes, in alliance it could change everything with people turning on babysitting every night. An alliance of half Asia and half North America swapping countries back and forth each day for walling purposes.

Looks like a full year of premium would be about $35. Maybe you can purchase it all at once and then re-up the next year.

I'm not blaming the changes for the player drops. I'm saying in an atmosphere of smaller servers growing ever smaller, taking land out of the game seems quite harmful indeed to everyone's ability to play and grow.

There are currently 24 countries in game A the Tournament server. Games B and C are at about the same when you discount the countries that never came out of protection. 25 countries in the entire server, that's it.

The last several Primary resets:
There were 193 countries in the Primary server. ->
There were 162 countries in the Primary server. ->
There were 144 countries in the Primary server. ->
There are currently 104 countries in the Primary server.

There are a crisis-level number of countries available to play with and landgrab. Taking more land out of the game by removing ghost acres, therefore, is devastating. I don't understand what your response is supposed to address.

You don't get any serious advantages for paying... You just no longer have to click the bonuses manually (and get 1 free bonus point each time), although I guess the babysitting feature could be impactful. I'll donate to the game because I've long loved it, but I'll probably buy the Patron support rather than the subscription.

I don't want to see my ghost acres all but disappear unless I hit other countries running my same strat, if that's part of this. This is especially devastating in Tourney and Primary where the dwindling player base is already pushing the game to its limits. This could be the death blow to the non-bot solo Earth servers.

It seems game changes are usually designed in response to the Alliance server but then employed game-wide. With fewer players than ever, why should we want attack gains (ghosts) to be lessened on Express, Tourney, or Primary?

Thank you to Ponti for being a brilliant def ally!! And great job to him in making some very dangerous grabs and never eating a retal, despite having my weak turrets on his def ally ledger. I know it was costly in expenses, but it was very impressive!

I'm curious how much net I could have gotten if I'd just stayed techer. After food market bottomed out upon my conversion, it was honestly hard to stay invested in playing as I knew my chances of having a strong country had gone up in smoke. When I ate that (very avoidable) retal I didn't log in for over two days and lost over 100 turns to overflow. :/ Oh well, that just reflects poorly on my own attitude... will try to rebound next set. Really want to know what strats Bug, Rob, Ponti, Relax, KoH, Getafix, Hess, Delphinus, etc are playing next reset so we can get things nice and balanced and competitive for everyone!

lol no wonder food is cheap! there are 3 farmers including u that has around this production.. that makes 45mil food a day just from 3 of u.. plus the remaining farmers down below, the daily supply is high!

Funny, I begged KoH to go Farmer when set started and he hadn’t committed to a strategy yet, told him I had techer covered, but he decided to go techer. Then we both witnessed food being high and tech starting to slide down hard and BOTH converted to farmer. He messaged and said he’d switched and at that point I was already 2 days into a conversion of my own. And now I’ve witnessed first hand how one or two big countries can massively swing the market! We ruined it!
