Thought I'd join a team after not playing here for several years. Don't really care if its netting or warring but I'd like to improve my warring skills. Anyone recruiting?

we always take in new people who want to war, by new i mean not playing with us in the past

dont join boltars team. theyre a bunch of degenerates that have declared war on the same netting tag every month for the last 6 months, essentially attempting to ruin the server because theyre mad they got stood up to.

join etft or another team like that, good players & netters who will probably be warring to defend themselves from boltars crew of fluff yet again

yep, good old warserver (just like limited was in Earth2025).

limited was pay to play (spend few bucks to get plat email or borrow some1's who has plat but doesn't play in limited) so player base was small (basically country which had spent only 119 turns (oop was 120 turns in limited) could finish top 100 or higher) which led to market being bad for all and due no humanitarians every1 could attack every1 so some netted and rest warred, members per alliance weren't limited but due reqs to play tags weren't much bigger than 15 members (and at the same time in earth council biggest tags were 120-150 members). oop wars were very common.

looking to net? play in ec or alliance. want to war? get plat email (borrow or make mehul bit richer) and play in limited.

think ORDER might have pushed close to 50 it's one set, back when 250ish was the normal number total, with a few in the 25-30 range and most of the rest around 10-15.

back in really old days (early-mid last decade) limited had alot more players as alliance has now (doubt limited had 12k players as old scores from dec 2001 suggests since next set (feb 2002) had under 4k or 1st set didn't require platinum/silver email), few years later playerbase had dropped to ~450 players (and alliance had maybe 4k players) and last limited set had under 200 players (53 of those oop) and most of out of protection were in 3 tags (each had ~15-20 members).

all of whom were multies.

you could make a post on the jr board, for fluffs sake, asking for an unused platinum account and be handed one within thirty six hours.

the idea of it being "clean" is not only a misnomer, it was an outright farce

many had bought plat when it gave ingame benefits and mehul had also some campaign (register to different sites to get points and if got enuf points then got plat email, no idea ift hat was permanent or 1 set deal) and plat email might have cost 5 bucks in early days so not much and even 15 bucks wasn't much (1 bar night per week less).

wine is a different story, thats costly, but four beers goes for about 21 dollars (tap, not bottle), before tip

let's see, 6-pack with 0.33 liter bottles would cost 9.70 euros (bit over 13 bucks) so 7 bottles. 1 half a liter can would cost 2.73 euros (~3.7 bucks) so 4 of those.

you can purchase a six pack from a bar? in canada they cant/wont, so you are forced to purchase each one individually (but they will sell me a whole bottle of wine, at about 200% the actual cost, mind you)

wine is done by ounces or half litres i suppose (its fun when you order four half litres of wine!!), but beer is done by the bottle or glass (draught)

a single draught beer (tap) is about five dollars CAN

here in jersey most domestic beers are anywhere between $3 and $4 each

not from bar, while in bar i could purchase (1 at a time until they think that i'm too drunk and refuse sell) 0.4l glass of beer with ~7 euros and highest prices are ~11 euros so in 1st case ~1.5 glass of beer and in latter case not even 1.

thx to our elected politicians alcohol costs small fortune in bars and its not that cheap in stores either and that has led to alot ppls going to estonia (or russia if russia is within driving distance) and buy alot alcohol (same alcohol which is sold heere) from estonia/russia and bring bought alcohols back to home.

it was somewhat widely joked that mehul's multidetector had version 1.0 on alliance and other single country servers except on limited there was no multidetector and ffa had alpha version.

you are scandanavian marshal? finland? the idea of driving to russia had me confused, thought you were from one of the islands?

bolts, those are.prices for bottles or tap? bud isnt so horrible, gun to my head. but if i ever find myself in joisey im hitting up ac and likely never returning (jail or dead, whixhever comes first :p)

not islander. store prices are bottles and bars are taps.

those are tap prices at local bars near me bud even cheaper at local private clubs.. i am a member of a private club. theres only bud on tap. but miller lite which i drink is $2.50 a bottle
