Our mods are absent, when they are here they are irrelevant or capricious, its been like this for years. Let's take over and just run it ourselves.

I do fully agree that the mods are toxic to this server. They come on here and whine about having to do their jobs and fluff. If you can't handle it, step the fluff down.

No less than exists now. This can be an experiment in open source moderation. Right now we have a garbled set of rules with no clear delineation of objectives, next to zero governance, and a lack of clarity. If you believe that you have any freedom from discrimination and persecution now, you believe in a myth. The mods are a lie, there is no matrix, there is no Mr. Smith, there are no rules. Am I the only one around here that gives a fluff about the rules?

There's no consequences for violating rules, so why follow them?

In fact, you're at a huge disadvantage on TEAM if you do follow them.

The secret?? Just break same rule over & over and the mod gets tired and/or doesn't have the time to enforce it---

you can start by banning celphi from the server, for life, for openly and actively encouraging people to, and explaining to those people how to cheat.

so, are we pulling a tella and doing nothing, or as a strong of constitution grown man are we going to change fluff, starting with those who wish to denigrate rule and policy, or are we looking for references to geographic locations and four letter words, and the fluff fluff to the rest of rules?

it would take like one fluffing day for us all to sit down and come up with agreeable rules. the people entrusted to run the server refuse, and we're and not them to blame?

every mod who comes here takes fluff from the people who play, and nobody ever fluffing asks the nineteen of us what we might like to play so as to make THEIR life easier.

Bstrong, if you are a mid that does not communcate with your subjects for two months, then I guess I'm not alone in questioning whether you should be a mod.

A moderator job pays in power, the respect and honour that in some groups is due to the holder of a position of power, the pride in being able to say that you have power and position and being able to brag about it and put in on your resume and get fluffed by really nerdy girls, and the fun of arbitrarily punishing whoever you like for whatever you feel like by exerting that power. Like with money its often undeserved but still comes with all these benefits.

The necessity of the position is questionable. If the moderator listens to the group, has their respect, and makes reasonable decisions that benefit the group, then they are probably useful. If they do nothing to meet the expectations of the majority of the group and act like they are better than everyone else simply because they have the imaginary status of a position in an imaginary hierarchy, then they should fluff off. Why should we give them all that respect and honour for nothing?

I'd just want to try repairing the damage I did to my favorite server.

I think this an interesting idea... the self moderated democracy. The question of who all gets a vote is trickier.

Another solution would be to vote for a moderator or two who would deal with a democratically decided constitution of sorts
