What do you consider to be farming?

More than 2 grabs, consistently grabbing same country/team/tag.

more than 2 within 48 hours of the last hit. give time for ghost acres to return, dont over exhaust the land. its all about crop rotation.

ive always been told/followed the 4th LG is considered farming rule.

across a whole set?

no in 24hr period on 1 single country (most alliances use this or have in the past)

im referring to untagged farming like when u bottomfeed

2 or more from same person, 3+ per tag....

I operate under a hypocritical thought-process.

If someone hits me more than once, they are farming.
If I hit an untag 3-4 times, I'm just grabbing.

Rest his Soul, but Lemon Chiffon use to considering farming as 4 grabs on any one country.. he would let us get away with 3 on his multi's the 4th ment we died

That's more complicated than it appears to be on the surface, but my personal rule of thumb would be that if any one player or any one team hit me more than once in 48 hours or 3 times in one round, I'd consider it farming.

The intangibles are stuff like the grabber's jet to turret ratio, if the grabber appears to be a top/bottom feeder based on his/her news, etc. Another example of farming IMO is a player grabbing a country that's on a team at war.

I think at the end of the day, it ends up being a judgment call in a lot of cases.

"Not being able to retal" is a little subjective.
