Nothing new to report. Perhaps there's some diplomacy going on at the moment. I suspect that #26 is trying to convince #41 that a war isn't in their best interests as they both have a legitimate shot at winning game B. Also, a long drawn out war will raise the possibility that both sides will drop enough in the rankings to keep them out of game A next round.

It's clear that #41 is upset at #26's 2 very large land grabs. #41's first retaliation, in response to #41's retaliation showed just how rash, and possibly hard core #41 is.

However, his actions also display a player who's had his pride taken away from him. At first his reaction is to DESTROY #26's country, but after firing 4 missiles at #26, he attempts a PLANNED STRIKE, which failed... miserably. So, full of rage, he then attacks with tanks.

Right now #26 is taking a vacation when it comes to going to war. He needs to retaliate hard and #41 simply can not become a diplomat after acting like a crazy tyrant.

I will keep you all posted and promise not to interfere in this war unless I'm somehow drawn into it.

It looks like #41 is completely overreacting a sore loser.

He hit someone. #26 retaled. #41 couldn't handle the fact that #26 can retal and responded with nukes and ab's.

Poor form by #41.

You can say that #41 overreacted, especially since he was the player who initiated this confrontation but is there really poor form in war?

In this game, war is encouraged so perhaps #41 should be applauded for going a little nuts with the tanks.

Instead of attacking #41, why aren't you attacking #26 and calling him wimpy for not properly retaliating? It does both ways, Mr. Green. It goes both ways.

You're welcome. Where else will you find top notch colour commentary? If I ran multies you'd be getting news from all 3 tourney games but that is against the rules, so you can complain to management for the lack of colour commentary in the other tourney games.

At this point it's clear that despite being a very skilled player, #26 does not know how to win a war. #41 has decimated #26 time and time again, using tanks but #26's only answer is to strike with planned strikes.

I've been critical of #26 but maybe it's possible that he's just messing with #41. By continue to perform massive land grabs he's showing him that he can take land from #26 at will no matter what #26 does to him. Psychological warfare or poor war skills?

I think maybe its because #26 dont have the turns to mass produce tanks and wouldnt/couldnt buy tanks from the market even though 10% commie tax hurts.. This aint express where you can put 200turns on tanks and expect to be safe..

A commie with that much land should be able to quickly mass produce tanks if they set it to 100%. #26 could then sell jets on the private market instead of using them for further land grabs.

It's possible that he had 0 tanks and, like you said, he's not able to mass produce tanks fast enough but based on his actions, I don't think he's done enough to build up tanks.

This is my first game in several years so I'm no longer familiar with the formulas. Assuming no tech has been acquired, how many tanks can a commie indy with about 9000 industrial buildings produce each turn?

Thanks for posting the formula. 300K should be enough to fend off AB's against #41, in my opinion. #41 is a republic, so his military is weaker than #26. #41 has recently attempted land grabs so that suggests he still has a significant amount of jets, so he hasn't gone all tanks & turrets.

I'm assuming that #41 has between 400k - 500k tanks. What's your take?

The German is continuing to destroy the undecided vacation planner but his first tank barrage failed. This indicates two things; 1) #26 has either produced or purchased more tanks & 2) #41 has enough spies to get an updated report on #26.

At this point, I think too much damage has been done to #26 for him to come back and win this war. This has become so one-sided that I feel like spending my stockpile on tanks and going after the German, but I don't know if #26 instigated this war so I'll stay out of it... for now.

Commie is best on a preemtive war.. If people jumps out of the closet doing Abs they need alot of turn to produce enough tanks to fend of the attacks.. but someone like #41 probably has alot of cash on hand to flood #26 with tanks and still making $ every turn

It's weird that #41 chose to perform a landgrab on #26 following the fantastic artillery barrage #26 conducted. It's ironic that #26 smartened up and took a page out of #41's book, while #41 took a page out of #26's book on how to war like a noob and land grabbed #26 after witnessing 2000+ of his buildings getting destroyed.

No, between work and a course I'm taking I don't have much free time as it is. Work was slow and I had a couple of weeks off from my course so I had time to play a round.

This game is too time consuming. I enjoyed trying out the oiler strategy and doing colour commentary but I can't keep playing. Maybe I'll be back again sometime.

It would take me 10-15 minutes but it depends on which strategy I play. If I'm selling goods then I might need more time to check if my goods have sold.

10-15 minutes a day won't allow me to do other stuff, such as colour commentary. :) If I played I would get too involved and 10-15 minutes a day wouldn't be enough and wouldn't be as much fun.

I might come back and play tourney, ffa or alliance one day but not for a while.

Why don't some of you actually learn how to win these battles instead of just beat each other up and gripe about it?

I don't need anger management, people need to stop pissing me off!
