How does the system work with regards to getting placed on a different game (a, b, c..?)

I was reading some of the comments on this forum leading me to believe that Game B is a decent placement? It's my first time on a tournament game and I'm just curious about how placement works.

"This is a tourney server. Countries on this server are split up into several different games: game A, B, and C. Game A is the upper level of tournament. Only the top 50% of players in game A stay in game A after the reset is complete. The bottom 50% are randomly assigned to the lower level games, B and C. Similarly, the top 25% of players in games B and C move up to game A at the end of the round. New countries will be assigned to the lower level games. All games share the same public market."

If you finish in the top 25% you can choose to either move to A or restart in B or C depending on whether or not you change your country name for the following set.

It is not a ladder p1co, A is above the others but B and C are equal.

What happened to games D to Z? I remember back in 2005 there was lots of tourney games, :(
