Good news!

I feel the urge of my favorite once a reset post coming on.
So here's the top 10 heading into this reset...(resets don't officially start till the first war has broken out and I like to give time for people to tag up.


Good news there are 3 top tier alliances this reset!

1. SOF- better netters than SOL, and supposedly better fighters. However, since they've been allied for the last few years (everyone say booo!) we haven't had a chance to see who is better than who.

2. SOL- best fighters outside of SOF, for sure, but better than SOF? But they are bigger, I know SOL wins with a FS. in a 1-1. Not sure if they win if FS, or a co-FS, or with allies.

3. MD- give them a reset to knock the rust off, and they maybe #1 next reset.


The next group is one notch below- they all have a fault at some level, being, inconsisttanct since coming to EE, lack of size, netting, war ability, but are better than most alliances.

4. Evolution - I almost moved them to tier 1. Good showing in ECM war multiple ave net titles...head to head against LAF....60 members. I really want to move them up a notch to Tier One Status, if they were 70 members, or I'd seen more fighitng in 1-1 situations, I probably would.

5. LAF- Has the top netters in the game, head to head netting against EVO is the most exciting I've seen in the game's history (its not a yawner:P) But, LAF hasn't exactly excelled in war the last few resets.

6. Collab- decent netters, pretty good fighters too. Just 40 members.

7. Omega- I think the best combo of netting/fighting out there, just 34 members.

8. NA- big, can put up good TNW totals, but, I'm not sure they are as strong top tobottom as the above allainces, though I have no douby with a FS they'd beat a few alliance in a 1-1 that are above them

9. LCN- not quite as good as Omega in fighting or netting, but very similar style.

10. Imag Pesky fightters that start early wars, great team to have on your side in a multi alliance war:)

Others Considered

NM- Strong netters, suprise showing in ECM war with fighting. and Growing 34 members??? NM hasn't been above 30 in years! I really don't expect NM to stay at 10 much longer.

PDM-They are getting bigger. and a reset ago would have been top 10.

RD-last reset this group would havebeen top 10


the quality of the top 10 has improved as either NM, PDM, RD would be top 10 in every previous reset of EE era.

I think there is something to be said for strength in numbers. Even a top MMA fighter would lose to 10 nerds with a plan :P

I think this puts N/A in a very strong posistion going forward, if they are serious about being strong top to bottom.

SoL is ranked to high!

This is essentially a "power" ranking - Evo's netgaining makes them top 3 along with SOL and SoF. As for SoF better than SOL? Definitely not with RAGE gone, especially if you're doing the rankings on a pure "power" basis as it appears you are.

If you mixed in netting skill in I'd say it's SoF / Evo -> SOL -> MD
In terms of pure power, yours but swap SOL and SoF.

(Some people forget that numberswise, Evo is bigger than SoF atm)

Adding netting skills to the rankings would also involve dropping iMag out of it and replacing them with Monsters. Actually... even on a pure "power" basis, I'd argue that a fair 1v1 between PDM and iMag would probably end up in PDM's favor. Monsters doesn't have the war organization to win and RD doesn't have the numbers (though it would be close)..

Ranking MD - or RAGE or TIE or Rival - at this point seems silly.

With 20 extra members, SOL is better than SOF. Can't really argue that.

I used to fluff with RaVeS all the time when I was in ARROW, now I hardly ever see him around.

SOL's got too big of a membership advantage on us. Only shot we'd have against them is a surprise FS.

This rating is flawed.

First off, SOL is not ranked first. AKA ranked too high.
Second, LCN is not 11th.

I think those are very close but as mentioned before.
The ranking do change slightly from set to set.
You cant very well leave any clan out of the Top 10 when they consistantly have 40 members or more.
So size will always(even in POWER RANKINGS) will have some kind of factor.
I know NA best and surely know where we struggle. As many alliances as there are...and the results being SPARATIC for NA

It depends what kind of mood Anderson is in. If he is down to business, no contest. If he acts like he did against Damien Maia, the nerds might have a chance.

I stopped reading when MD is on the list... Not trying to discredit MD or anything... but they haven't even finished a set yet!!

They're doing something right now.

Servant 799 of 800 are vets. Time makes # 1 in this game. Will they return next set? Sure, I'll give em a top spot this set, hopefully they're still here in force in coming sets.

I KNOW you remember the same thing being said way back when about Arrow, Rage, etc. It was all 'numbers'...and then it turned out it wasn't all numbers.

its not about how MANY members you have, its about how MANY DEDICATED, LOYAL, DETERMINED, SKILLED members you have.

it's not a bad list. I suspect it's the sort of thing that would vary a lot however. using member totals to rank an alliance is an iffy bet. you could have a couple of bad war sets where you get jumped by like half the server, and end up down like 30-40% of your membership as people vanish. it's impossible to measure another alliances core membership though.

Trumper- back then was different circumstances:), new members weren't the issue, quality was:) lots of crappy alliances back then.

Now, the issue is recruits not quality:) Though that's slowly starting to change.

I blame the IA team's in Arrow/Rage for no increasing the quality- not the size of the alliance:)

Nope- not at all.

they're top 20 members are excellent, their bottom 10 aren't near as active as you need to be to make the list.

Let me say this again.
This top 10 is the highest quality top 10 we've had since moving to EE.


It's really the first reset where not being on it isn't shameful. I think RD, Monsters, and PDM all would have made the top 10 any other reset on EE with their current alliances. A few resets ago ICN would have with their current 21.

all the new/returning guys will get there:)

gone are the days of being an allaince and almost being guarnateed to make the top 10:)

The days of having to earn it from top to bottom are beginning again.
