The problem is that there are many people from alliance who feel that express and tourney are places where they can suicide and have fun at the expense of others. Because they don't give a fluff about these servers, they think people in these servers don't give a fluff too.

I play alliance and I respect people there, I play express and respect people here. But out of principle, I will play untag next set and suicide on SOF. As I stated b4 I won alliance, July 2005 - Rank #1 Mischiefdemon of Laf (#1177), so I have nothing to prove there.

I like playing in this server because people are cool to others regardless of what clan they are from.

What you say makes no sense. There's no adapting to a guy that's just gonna attack you all round no matter what. You can either give up your set and kill him or let him severely hamper your finish.

GDI rules exist to allow netters to one tap and move on without having their rounds ruined. This guy skirted the intention of the GDI rules by ruining someone's round anyway. mdemon still finished just outside the top ten but a top finish was impossible for him thanks to this player. Your "quit whining" line makes you look almost as dumb as your signature. :/

I was a demo techer. I was under GDI protection. I had a 25-30 SPAL. I didn't double tap him. I retal him for a LG. I had good defensive allies, which he also cost them lots of military. At the end my ally drop me because he lost over 1/2 million NW.

I don't play to do a mediocre finish, I play to give the best players a run for their $$$.

like i said. Easy fix is to make GDI prevent you from being double tapped. That way there is no way to "taunt" someone into breaking GDI and it eliminates farming completely.

I would even say that just preventing a triple tap would be good enough. So that someones round isnt wreaked just because someone got a hard on for them like this kid did for mdemon.

To optimize express they need to:
1) Change max turns to 270(180)
2) Change DR to 8 hours instead of 24
3) Something like what you suggest here maverick, but this is a bit tricky. You certainly can't forbid double taps, because then if there's two GDI players, neither would ever be able to break GDI on the other, haha. It would be a sanitized, whitewashed game. It would also encourage people to jet even more than they do now, because they can carry 0 defense and not fear a ROR. I think I would allow even a triple tap against a GDI, but no more. But you don't want to stop those who want to play aggressively and multi-tap from playing that strategy at all.
