so every time i have a drought, even if making thousands of bushels, i will have a food shortage? the auto sell every turn of bushels for farmers is comepletely useless

FYI: in 2025 if you sold all bushels as a farmer, having 0 on hand, then if you had a drought the next turn, you would not have a food shortage.

btw drought is production cut by 2/3rds

so production*.33 needs to be > consumption for a drought not to occur.

This has nothing to do with auto sell and is not a bug.

it happened to me several times during my 1st 100 turns because if my production was cut by 1/3 then I wasn't making enough bushels to break even. At a certain point you will produce enough so that even if a drought occurs you will still make more than you consume and thus will not have a "food shortage."

happened about 10 times total on my 16 FFA countries in my first 120 turns

my problem is that for 1 country I can not uncheck the sell food button. :S

thats on a 4500 acre country with positive food flow

happened in the middle of a batch explore, screwing my returns

also happened on a 6k acre country with positive food flow messing up my batch explore on another

this is quite annoying :(
