He is good, but was anyone else turned off by commentators as much as I was? They even did a slow-mo of his putt stroke and the guy said it was the best stroke he had ever seen. I mean, I was rooting for him to pull it out after his Masters choke, but I almost felt I wanted to hear some feet inserted into mouths lol.

He obviously needs to prove it by going on and winning more majors. But in the Masters (for 3 days at least) and the US Open he has looked so much better than everyone else in the field its ridiculous.

It's not like its only his second good performance at a major. He had 3 top 3 finishes and 6 top 20 finishes before this. While they were a bit over the top in singing him praises, imo there is little doubt he is already much better than most of the t10 ranked golfers on the circuit.

This will be his replacement, the guy they will ask in the magazines "Best ever?". Tiger was good probably the best but he wouldn't have been anything if he wasn't hyped as much as he was.

This guy is good and has the star swing so they are going to hype hum as much as possible. From what I see when a player is being hyped from media to the announcers of the event and all the fans they play better.

Get use to it, because until he shows he can't take Tiger's place he will be the focus.

He was good before, he strung some wins and decent finishes together enough to show he is champion. Now he is going to be the star. He is young too which makes him the perfect candidate. Age plays a huge factor in golf these days. They want them young and prodigal.

amazing to say the least. tiger is out for the year so they need a replacement to keep the numbers up. We will be seeing a lot more in the near future for sure. The US better get it's fluff tog.

Tiger's career being derailed by personal issues and injuries doesn't change the fact that nobody ever dominated the tour like he did.

Congressional's greens were crappy because of recent adjustments and then storms at the right time. So he's very good, but the I wouldn't read into record scoring as noted by whole bit on their greens (hence why everyone did better than normal).

I was definitely annoyed by the commentators and their broners.

Rory is from a town 10 mins from my house, he's appearing in a club in my town tonight, met him a few times over the years and can honestly say he is nothing like he comes accross on tv, he's a bit of a prick lol. But can't deny he is a very talented golfer and has a bright future
