So, for a while now my cousin wanted to play, however I wouldn't let him since he lived with me. But I heard you can be safe listed, so I went ahead an inquired with a mod. Now this mod asked me for my login/pass. Big mistake, I'm so stupid. I can't believe I actually gave my password :(

I wouldn't have thought so either. But I have no reason why it happened. Nothing was sent to my email, and it wasn't letting me appeal. Plus, I thought my stupidy should be shown for other to learn from. Never send your login/pass for anything for any reason.
There might have been some kind of communication mix up for which I apologize. I am quite surprised that I even asked for your password as all we need is your login and nothing else (probably force of habit from my actual job).
In any case I was busy with an exam but I can confirm that you were added to the safelist.
I know this probably doesn't make you feel any better but there is really nothing I could do with your password that I couldn't already do with my access without it. Pang has probably already checked that nothing like that happened.
And as a general note: DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE. NOT ANOTHER PLAYER, NOT A GAME MOD, NOT AN ADMIN.. EVER!
In any case we will restore you and certify that you are squeaky clean and I offer my sincerest appologies for this mix up. Rest assured that we are working on a better process to deal with safelisting to prevent this type of thing from happening in the future.

k, i chatted further with Martian.... it really does look like this is a simple case of a mixup :p
i checked out your account and it looks fine (no hacking, no cheating based on the safelist request, martian didn't log into your account, if that was ever a serious concern :p)
the safelist system is sort of a handshaking system... both you and your safelist partner(s) need to confirm with the mods. we're going to redo this flow for users (and mods) as part of larger redesign work, since as you can see... it has flaws

BTW...I don't fault the admins/mods for NightShade at all. Safelist is a really touchy thing and none of them read FFAT enough to have seen 'her' messups when she speaks as the wrong person and all the other funny fluff.
i think in general folks think about the safelist as being a way to avoid being deleted at all... but that's not tue.
it's really just a way to help us keep track of people who want to raise their hand and say "hey, there's a couple of us playing from overlapping locations"
being on the safelist isn't something that means you are not under any scrutiny from the mods, but it does help to explain some of the normal things we typical auto-delete for (like playing multiple accounts from the same machine :P) and gives us an avenue to at least reach out to the players to see what is going on before we need to toss them.
we don't like to delete people, and this sort of headache is a core reason why, but it's required to keep a level playing field and provide fairness to everyone else who plays this game legitly.

The safelist is some kind of compromise. The feeling was that if you live with someone and you both want to play there should be some way to do it. At some point we have to take people at their word. The restrictions placed on it make it extremely difficult to benefit from lying about it.
That being said we have removed people from the safelist/delete people who were on the safelist before for various violations.
We also don't have instances where large portions of any tag are safelisted. I think the largest number of individuals in any given tag at a given time in ffa/alliance has been like 4 (2 separate pairs of people).

Dont the admins already have everyone's login and pass?
They should be storing passwords in the DB hashed. Since they know how they hashed it, it would be pretty easy to reverse, but they probably don't just store them in plaintext.
