lol I play against my phone on level 7 out of 10, and occasionally win. I was winning every time as black on level 3, and I decided I wasn't gonna get better fast enough slowly creeping up the levels, so now I just take my assrapings like a man lol

I just play on chess.com, they have pretty good apps there for playing other chess.com members on a variety of phone platforms. As far as a good stand alone chess app - it would depend if you want to play CC, live chess or a bot - but DeepGreen is decent.
