It seems people forget we have one, so I'm posting the link at the bottom of this message as a reminder. We've been enforcing our policy for some time now with very little conflict. It'd be interesting for things to all of a sudden become an issue since there are no radical changes.

Oh, and 1 more thing. I thought this was pretty common knowledge but I guess not.

If you LG us, expect us to retal according to this policy. Don't expect us to be stuck retalling according to your policy. That's why it's your RETAL policy, for when you make retals.

Otherwise all tags would create "countries we LG can only retal this way" policies... you can try that with someone else, we aren't buying.

Funny how you PDMers made a big push for me to rejoin PDM when I briefly departed Sanct, then have a comment like that.

It makes sense, Balin. If you hit a tag, that tag retals according to THEIR policy, not YOURS. Because it's THEIR RETAL POLICY.

If a tag wants to dictate how the entire server can retal them, we have no issues being the first one to question it.

I think you would have done well in PDM. You have a lot of pent-up aggression and we don't have anyone who is willing to lead intensive wars. Wari has been gone for a while, the member base has diversified and improved - I thought you'd like it and fit in.

I didn't know you went back to Sanct.

I was just struck by your tone in denouncing landtrading in the same breath as supporting 100% L:L. Neither landtrading nor 100% L:L is a common policy on the server (most clans stop L:L at 80% to encourage friendly grabbing via ghost acres). It's funny, though fitting with the stereotype of you, that you favor the punitive method rather than the generative and cooperative one.

I only support L:L when it deals with topfeeds. Check prior discussions on AT about that if you don't believe me, or our retal policy which is 1:1 escalating except when it comes to topfeeds.

I also believe landtrading is lame. Encouraging LGs is good, landtrading is just a cheap way to get land and abuse ghost acres, so I don't support it.

And even I wouldn't try forcing tags we LG to retal according to our policy. There are good reasons to war, and that just wouldn't be a good one. Unless, of course, we were standing up to such a policy, which looks to be the case in this situation as #531 messages our guy back saying Sanct would not be happy with the action PDM is about to take.

I guess the tank market is going to get expensive very soon.

If someone has buggerall turrets and has 20k acres then they are not defended well and if they get hit by a 10k acres country then the victim should really think about buying turrets and getting some weapons tech.

Some define topfeeding (wrongly imnsho) as hitting someone that's fatter.

If you truely insist on that definition I think you should include some provision in there that also takes care of the grabber's military.

If someone with 20k acres, 2m jets and 100k turrets is grabbed by someone with 10k acres, 500k jets and 1.5m turrets then it sucks for the victim but you're a victim because you run a crap and poorly defended country. If your retal doesn't make you happy then change the way you run your country.

If, however, you have 20k acres, 1.5m turrets and 500k jets and you're hit by a 10k acre country with 2m jets and no def then I sympathise and think the all-jetter deserves squashing.

sorry, TheMatrix, but if this round has taught us anything it's that AT doucheyness is the new metric which players are measured by.

Thomas is looking like he's going to have a top-10 finish for Sanct this round. And just like in any round, LaF and Evo will also have a number of top finishes.
