no i am buying. and putting it $1 below actual price will artificially increase the market price. this is what i do not want. this is how LT screwed up everybody's jump a few resets ago.

if any demos or theos have already jumped trying to inflate the market for everyone else is smart

ive put up massive standing orders in ffa before that take days to fill id assume alliance reacts quicker than ffa does though

depends how much cash you're holding...it doesn't take up that much cash to hold up SOs at the end of set.

technically the SO will not really bring up the average military price, it only make the price range less diverse (less outliers)

the average is not robust to outliers...so by eliminating the lower prices, it by default raises the average price.

That's why you market camp for your jump...

some people will always sell at the SO some always at $1 more and so on, very few people will sell at a lot less so if you have a price which spiked 10% and then set orders for $1 less for 1 unit constantly some people who see those standing orders will start to sell higher

and in ffa you can have about 1 trillion cash to jump with which takes a long time if you want to use it on public

yep camping...but people who put up the SOs are screwing it up

well, someone jumping in public always increases the military price a bit due to the sudden increase of demand, but soon enough the market will stabilize according to knowledge of the demand..

This thread is about SOs so I'd say if there's any increase happened due to SOs, it should be very minimal compared to the increase caused by the increase in demand.

IMO the only way SOs brings avg military price up is by making other nub feel insecure and decide to jump altogether, then you're both screwed :p
