I need your help.
Since a few weeks i have 2 red vertical lines on my monitor.

I have connected the pc to another monitor, problem was still there. Another graphiccard, problem still exists.
Maybe its a driver issue? So now i have reinstalled windows. Still the problem is there. After the new installation I found out one of my harddisks still contained old files. Now i am formatting that drive. Maybe its some software on the drive what is causing the problem?
But if this aint working i dont have a clue what to do, besides buying a new pc.

it's not a computer problem. It's your eyes, did you check to see if there were any red streaks on your glasses?

well i have contacts, and for sure i need new ones. Those I have now are 3 years old and I should have changed them 2 years ago. :p

i guess your comps mobo is at end of its life, you could try to use another slot for graphic card if mobo has 2 to see if its that particular slot or whole mobo.

The only question I have, was the video card you swapped in, the same make/model? I'd be wanting to try something completely different, that requires different resources than your current graphics card. If you've still got the streaks, You can pretty much count on it being your motherboard.

hmm after formatting drive E and after I switch the DVI cable to the second port of my graohic card it looks like its fixed.
